I playtested the game up to the Rock Tunnel. There appears to be several trainers in multiple areas that have pokemon that only know struggle, a sailor that crashes your game in the S.S Anne, and a trainer on the Route 24 bridge that has pokemon with invalid moves (weedle with earthquake, etc.) Despite the bugs, I had fun and this hack is looking promising. I absolutely support this project.

From FR & LG.

HGSS already had it mostly correct, but I had to change a few things. I probably still missed a few.

Oh interesting. Will the first "final" version be called 1.0? And how long will you need to come to there. (Don't want to stop playing because I reach the temporary end.)

Update.

I could use some help creating / modifying the graphics for the game. Things like the intro or touchsceen.

Code:
---v0.4.7.3

- Can get Flash from Prof Oak's aide on Route 2.
- Moon Stone & Hp Up added on Route 2.
- Wild Encounters updated on Routes 4, 5, 6, 11, 24 & 25.
- Prof. Oak's last Pokemon now stays on the table throughout the game.
- Various NPC improvements.
- Fixed the movesets of many trainers.
- Fixed a crash on the S.S Anne.
- Fixed a bug where a NPC would teach you Mega Kick.

Not sure. The development is kind of slow but I'm going to try and get the 4th Gym open for 0.5.

I also want to restore the original game corner that was in the JP version.

I just wanted to say good luck with this project. I am really looking forward to playing it!
I cannot wait for him to finish it. If I was as efficient as I used to be I would have offered him help, but I got lost in the ROM hacking scene before DS became big and I'm way behind. I support him every step of the way!

thank you... wats flash carts

and also that doesnt answer my question, i still dont know where to output the file

You use xdelta to patch an original ROM, and the output can be anything you want, hence the "filename.nds" comment.

If that's not what you meant then try explaining your question further instead of repeating yourself.

I can't wait to see this project finished. When Heart Gold / Soul Silver came out, it was frustrating that they basically recreated the entire Kanto region in a pretty big update from Fire Red / Leaf Green, but it wasn't playable as part of the original Red & Blue storyline. I think Heart Gold / Soul Silver was the last true instance of a classical 2D Pokemon game where the 3D elements are still kept tastefully subtle. Really wish Nintendo would revisit this again, since it's been 12 years since we've gotten a similar game resembling the originals.

I know there is Fire Red and Leaf Green, but I'm a bit disappointed that they haven't released a remake of the first one for the 20yrs anniversary (this year).
If they take Fire Red and Leaf Green really as arguments agains it they had have given us a Yellow remake instand. As someone who only played Yellow and Blue I really would have enjoyed a remake of these games...
Just giving another company as Game Freak access to the engine for 3DS. I assume the first games where not as complex and shorter as the contemporary Pokemon games.
That would mean a remake and Sun/Moon announcement within the 20years anniversary.
It would have been a great year for Pokemon fans and nostalgic people (which maybe be are more thanks to Pokemon Go and its awareness in the public) alike.
A missed chance Nintendo.
