Nintendo releases Metroid Prime: Federation Force - Blast Ball

Today Nintendo released a new video for Metroid Prime: Federation Force called Mission Briefing. Check it out below:

Also:
Even better, as of right now Nintendo 3DS owners who visit Nintendo eShop can download Blast Ball, the game's friendly competitive multiplayer mode! Fans can battle it out complete with online support, and even compete with players who own the full game once it launches. In early September, the multiplayer servers will switch over to support the full game only.

Have fun checking it out and happy blasting.

It's not just the video but the release of the multiplayer Blast-Ball mode which actually looks to be pretty fun.

Those that can't get over the idea of a Metroid game without Samus need to just accept that this isn't that game, and see it for what it really is. And really it looks like a pretty dang fun game, I don't get to play as Samus, oh well, doesn't mean that the game doesn't look any fun.
I dont care about samus, i hate them because after more of 6 years we are looking for an exploration metroid game and now we receive a generic multiplayer shooter plus a football game.

Take it in for what it is. It's not a traditional Metroid game... oh well, doesn't mean it's not an enjoyable game, eventually a traditional Metroid game will come, i'm honestly not a huge Metroid fan, so I don't mind waiting for the next traditional release. If I were to dwell on what every video game isn't, I'd find no joy in any of them.

It'll sell like ass due to the backlash, Nintendo will take that as a nobody wants a new Metroid, and Metroid will go the way of F-Zero!

Looks cool! I'm really considering buying this to play with friends, but I also want MH Generations... I guess the latter has more hours of game for the buck, but then I played the one on Wii extensively so I'm not sure if it will offer anything new. Hard choice..

I hope it has stylus control as well though. I think I would prefer that over the rigid C-stick. I'm not saying that it doesn't work, it obviously does. Stylus is just the way I've gotten used to playing fps' on the DS.

I don't consider this game as a metroid prime game, but it looks pretty entertaining, I would give a chance on this one

the game in the video is the full game, right? and the "demo" they just released is just multiplayer with all the singleplayer cut out?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I just tried it. It was interesting, but didn't like the controls

I guess since you just tried it you already know, but the demo is only the blast ball mode. The coop multiplayer is also cut out.
