The card has a multi color LED in it that will light up when you run a diagnostic test if it doesn't show up it simply means the card is faulty.

THATS WHAT I SAID! If it doesnt work with latest firm beta (which im using) it would ask to insert red card even though it was in or a brick thx man

I guess I've never paid attention to it :/
Probably because I don't go to the Diagnosis part. (This was when I used my Gateway)

This is just for new cards? Both of my legit GW cards have no LEDs in them.
