I wouldn't hold your breath. the streaming for the pad works well because its only 480p, but frame packing and streaming 1080p. Its like 6 times the data, and that takes processing too. You might be better off just getting a USB capture card. Hauppauge makes some, or black magic might still be a good brand. It will have a little lag, but so would streaming.

I'd like to do this, because I have a laptop, so I can't just simply plug in the HDMI cord into the monitor. (My laptop only has an HDMI output) Is there a Homebrew to do this?
AFAIK, the video displayed on the gamepad is actually streamed to it with a modified h264 codec, so if that codec could be decoded, as well as be able to receive the stream, it could be possible. I believe there is actually a thread dedicated to figuring it all out, somewhere in this forum section.

Hopefully someone can get it working someday :)

I found a YouTube video about it, and there is a link to the source code for it. It's called drc-sim. It appears it only works on Linux though. There is also a thread here, I'm pretty sure about that.

Oh, boy! I have Linux. :creep:
But how do I get it working? I get this:
Code:
python drc-sim.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "drc-sim.py", line 1, in <module>
    import construct
ImportError: No module named construct

What python version do you have? It seems like you use python 3 but the program needs python 2.

Code:
Python 2.7.11+ (default, Apr 17 2016, 14:00:29)
[GCC 5.3.1 20160413] on linux2

Why don't you just plug in the WiiU into the monitor of your PC?
It's literally in the first sentence of the OP. :glare:
