I am using basehaxx with hax 2.7, and even if i have the right xml in the "mmap" folder on the root of my sd it doesn't boot the 9.6-crypto title, it freezes on a yellow screen. New 3ds 11.0.0-33E

Have you put the mmap folder on the root of the sd card?
Do you use the new_boot.3dsx based on commit 56a3d77 of smealum/3ds_hb_menu and required to launch titles with these XMLs?

every game freezes. the one i tried the most was kirby planet robobot. i checked, and there was an xml for that game in the mmap folder
Weird... Works fine with me with a 9.6 crypto game... I will check that later (in about 3 hours XD)

Edit: HANS currently doesn't support custom memmaps at this time.

I have the proper xml file in the mmap folder and the proper boot.3dsx, but when I try to use Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon(USA) with svdt the HBL hangs when on the screen where you choose the title.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
