Okay, guys I am new here so bear with me. I have been trying for a while to get a "acquired" .3ds rom file's (Pokemon Omega Ruby) romfs folder contents with PackHack.

Every time I press D on the bat menu, it extracts to this here. After that, I NEVER see the romfs folders with all the files, I just see the DecryptedRomFS.bin as showing in the image.

Am I doing anything wrong here? Help me out please.

Things You Should Know: I don't have the game cart. (Let's say a friend gave me a flash drive with a "acquired" file.) Braindump is not an option sense I don't have the game cart.

I don't know how to use Packhack that well, but if you have ctrtool
Code:
ctrtool -x --romfsdir=romfs_ext decryptedromfs.bin

Oh edit: Did you decrypt your rom? That's essential

Okay, how do I do that? I know I pressed D on here but other than that no. You know how I do that?

EDIT: Here is what happens when I try to do what you say? Here

I am not sure. If not; How do I check and I do I get it NOT dencrypted?
That might be your problem. This is what you should follow. If you have Homebrew or can run decrypt9 you should be fine. If you don't have access just go to that "iso site" and idk maybe search "decrypted roms" you might find something.

Okay, I followed that but I see nothing about xorpads.
You mean the guide? Idk why it's not there, but if you get xorer , apply the xorpads to the rom.
Code:
xorer OmegaRuby.3ds -e 00040000000A0500.Main.exheader.xorpad -x 00040000000A0500.Main.exefs_norm.xorpad -r 00040000000A0500.Main.romfs.xorpad -o OmegaRuby.cxi
Something like this (obv change xorpad name), you can always look at the arguments on the github

Then use ctrtool to do this
Code:
ctrtool -p --exefs=exefs.bin --romfs=romfs.bin OmegaRuby.cxi

Yeesh what did you do lol? Mhm I suggest just getting a clean rom from that "iso site" preferably from Billy Halim. And just apply the xorpads again since there's no decrypted OmegaRuby (USA) that I saw. Jw do you have access to decrypt9?

What the hell was I telling you then! So do you have the cia installed? You can use braindump to get the cxi and just extract romfs. If you have the rom simply just follow Asia81's guide on the rom and once you get the decryptedRomfs.bin if it doesn't extract, just use ctrtool to extract it, using the code on my first post. (Get a clean rom btw since you kinda jacked up your rom with the xorpads)

That's just a guy on that site w/ a collection of roms, but just get a clean version of the rom you downloaded from, decrypt it via decrypt9 (Start Decrypt9WIP, choose Game Decryptor Options, then NCCH/NCSD Decryptor.) , extract the stuff from the .3ds using packhack (D) and if it doesn't extract the romf's content, just use the ctrtool argument on my first post. So sorry if I kinda confused you

Well If I have the CIA installed how to I braindump it? I installed Fire EMblem but the game does not show up in the list under braindump so I can't extract it

Just run Braindump and it will show you a list of titles you want to choose. Are you sure it's there? I have no idea about that if you can't find it.

Well I have FBI on the Luma Dashboard. Installed it from the CIA from there. Do you think I need to do it from HBL?
