Hello, I created this topic because I used to be a big fan of the DSTWO on NDS scene days and they did a pretty terrific piece of hardware and software.

As some alreally know, SC decided to fork Rei's code to make his new CFW and released a very alpha state of this one.

What do you expect from this CFW?
I personally expect the most of the features that a modern CFW have (incluiding firm protection for A9LH users and updated sysnand support) and, why not, working NDS forwardes on freegame mode.

I'd be gland to read your opinions and hope some SC devs can read what we think :)

Pd. Sorry for my bad english if so...

I'm curious to see if they'll release their source if CFW devs are interested in adding Supercard support.

I might also try and see if my Gateway works on it later. After all, they're similar enough for GW 3.4 to work.

I personally think they should've just released a .cia file so it can be installed in whatever CFW.

The thing is that Reinand uses GPLv3 license

They need to release the source code of "freegame" and give credit. If not, they are violating of GPL.

The only original thing i see is that, it includes a half working .3ds loader. If we can get the source, we might get a .3ds loader on CFW. Don't quote me on this

But this sound like we can now RE their freegame.dat to add support for the dstwo+ at the very least right? (might not happen but would like to know the feasibility)

You are talking about a shady company that makes products mainly targeted at piracy usage (so, stealing games), which is a big "f*ck you" to Nintendo and many game developers and publishers. They already stole Gateway stuff, which is another company that makes shady products.

Question is: do you really think they give a fuck about GPL, giving credits and whatnot? :)
