Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

If you installed Luma and it's ready to use.
Replace the boot.3dsx file with the one in the Luma3DS package (Should be in a menuhax folder). (IIRC correctly)
it should boot luma3DS instead then. Make a backup of your current boot file though.
That's what i did atleast.

Anyways, having a small issue.
When i try to access my friends list, it will just throw me back to the home menu. It worked just fine a few days ago.
Checked it on SysNand and no issues there. What could be wrong here?

Big problems going on for me. Need some help.
I installed a9lh luma on a JP n3ds a while ago. Had it all setup to sysnand according to the Plailect guide. Everything worked perfectly.
I was playing AA: DD, when it froze. I turned off the 3ds. I turned it back on, my a9lh boot image loaded, and then it just black screened after trying to boot sysnand.
Arm9 was working fine though. I troubleshooted for a bit, by deleting Luma out and putting a fresh install on, and by restoring my original, for sure working sysnand backup. Still didn't work. My sd card is fine. I was able to make an emunand and get into my stuff from there.
The weird thing is, when I tried backing up the new emunand so I could clone it to sysnand, it would stop backing it up around 80% using emunand9.
I then tried emunandtool and it didn't even recognize it.
Could anyone help me out here with anything I could do to fix this? I figure I'll probably end up just having to buy a new 3ds and system transfer from my emunand, but I really don't want to honestly.

Did you update emunand9 to latest version? also try Hourglass9 to backup your system.

still have same issue format your sd card with this. will not delete your emunand. (backing up your all files before format your sd card.)

i've tried the two compiled A9LH payloads posted here and another one from reddit without success.

Im on luma part 3 redNAND thing. Im stuck help please

1. Open TinyFormat
2. Press Y to format your SysNAND (Don't worry, everything is still saved on RedNAND)
3. Go through initial setup without linking your Nintendo Network ID, you want it to remain linked only to RedNAND to prevent issues
4. Reinstall menuhax on SysNAND as the format will have removed it
5. Boot RedNAND
6. Open System Settings
7. If you do not see "Emu" in front of the version number, then you are not on RedNAND. DO NOT UPDATE, FIND WHAT WENT WRONG
8. Update your RedNAND to the latest version using system settings (Once you exit System Settings / SD Card Management you will be returned to SysNAND, make sure to enter back into RedNAND before updating!)
9. As your 3DS is setup right now, you must launch Luma3DS from the Homebrew Launcher every time you want to boot RedNAND; by the end of the guide you will boot into CFW SysNAND by default instead of having to use RedNAND

That didn't work either. xD

I give up in the meantime.
It still boots with the SD normally and all, so maybe I will wait until an official release to see if my O3DS can update its A9LH to boot without the SD.

Is there any reason why the latest compiled payloads (merged inits/no SD) for your a9lh isn't working on my O3DS? Particularly the No-SD function.
