Hacking Permanent custom firmware question regarding PSPgo 6.20

Ok so I have the rare problem of WAAAY too much information....so much that I am confused.

I need to know quite simply which is the best permanent custom firmware to take my PSPgo to from official firmware 6.20 and how to best install it

I have no use to run both official firmware AND custom firmware so a permanent solution will be favorable.

I know this question has probably been asked so many times you guys must be sick of hearing it but that is part of my confusion, there are so many different custom firmwares and tutorials for like every single firmware released etc etc that it is really hard finding the exact solution that I need.

So again, sorry if I am yet another in a long line of people repeating the same question, but any help here would be amazing. Even if you can just direct me to the best tutorial on what I am looking for.

wait...so infinity is not a custom firmware...but allows you to boot any firmware? So does it come with CFWs or do I need to find my own?
Also...it says 6.31 AND 6.61....do I need to update to one of those official firmwares? or do I stay at 6.20?
This is why I am so confused.

You install a cfw on top of infinity and it makes it permanent. You will be on latest firmware.

can I install infinity directly on 6.20 or do I need to update? Also which custom firmware would you recommend?

Update to latest firmware, then install infinity.

There's no real big difference between custom firmwares in term of support; just try out both LME and PRO and see what you prefer. The differences are subtle but noticeable once you try to get used to them.
