Why so much hate to the #ProudToBe video?

YouTube has recently added a rainbow-colored heart right next to the YouTube icon. There you can find a video about people whose identity does not fit to the binary gender system.
Seeing the amount of dislikes and the bad comments just makes me loosing any faith in the human kind :/

Their video about celebrating gay marriage got such a positive feedback.
But why are people responding so negative to this one???

While there may be those who just get mad at the drop of a hat about anything outside of their comfort zone, I do think some displays are pushed too far. If you orient yourself a certain way, then that's fine. I'm glad that people don't need to hide who they are. But, do I need to see this sort of thing everywhere I go? I'm sure plenty of people would get upset if there was something of this nature of #ProudToBe, but instead of people identifying themselves outside of the binary gender system, it would have people who identify themselves within it.

Really getting sick of this kind of shit. I don't have a problem with people making their own choices, its none of my business. However, that doesn't mean I want to get linked to a blatant propaganda video every time I login to an account somewhere. I fail to see why this can't just be someone's personal life that doesn't have any effect on everyone else. I'm not going to bug anyone over their sexuality, but I really don't appreciate having it shoved in my face all the time by videos like this.

most people in the world have two legs and can hear, it doesn't mean we need to be shown deaf people in wheelchairs all the time, right?
nothing wrong with being deaf and in a wheelchair, or nothing wrong with not being sure what gender you are etc, but i can't say it's normal (as in majority) for our 'species'... i don't hate them, but i wouldn't want to be them.

Eh, the way I see it, there aren't very many people out in the world who are in a wheelchair and/or deaf and are getting hate slung at them at anywhere near the velocity that queer people are. The only reason that "pride" campaigns exist is to reaffirm others that they can be accepted, not necessarily to flaunt their sexuality

There people on daily basis getting the same kind of attention for no reason what so ever, and the only reason is cause they are bullies who are on power trips and think they can do whatever they want. There been two consistant acts of dumb things happening as a attempt to make a difference and someone gets hate forward to them in form of news. Is not just the people who are being indifferent, is regular common people as well. (Not to sound insensitive.)

At least more than 50% of the america, Or even the world have situation like this. I had situations like this, is not directly linked to any controversy, but i had been bullied before, just cause people wanted what i had and they didn't or whatever. That was over 20 year ago, things haven't changed, not even knowing or learning about my diagnosis with aspergers syndrome, and as a kid in 2 grade no one knew anything about it and will still have problems then and do now. That is life, a end less struggle for some people one sided opinions being dominant. I think japan and their Less limited views on homosexuality are a bit well developed according to some anime that is being created.

Some times for safety reaons, I understand what you mean but when in rome, do what the rome people do, Mostly the idea would be to just have a sectiion cut off and dedicated to these kinds of things where is more focused and supported instead of downplayed and degraded.

But even then, humanity don't have to be so curel to each other, but i don't see a change anytime soon, unless our lives were like the story book "the giver"
