Is there any way to install TN-V without a specific game? Because I can find literally nothing on it from this older firmware. I have the LocoRoco Midnight Carnival demo on the system that I got off the PSN store from my PS3 and transferred over.

So with this demo currently, and me having a PS3, is there any hack? I know there is a MC hack but apparently you need a specific firmware which is higher than what I have.

I looked at Hackinformer's PS Guide and after putting in all my info and that its a phat Vita, the only TN-V options it gives me for hacking regards save files from 3.50-3.36, which are all higher than 3.15

Follow Tutorial 3 - I wrote up the method to install TN-V without needing a specific exploit game (in other words; any PSP game/mini will do): http://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-th...a-pstv-hacking-guide-check-here-first.403035/

What does MC stand for? If you're talking about the mail exploit, you'll need to be on 3.00-3.52 to do it, and you are in between those FWs, so you will be fine. (Also, that's what most tutorials will use to be able to write files to the Vita's filesystems)

Midnight Carnival lol so will the demo itself work even though it isn't a full PSP game?

Sorry; I'm a bit tired, lmao.

I would imagine it would work. Users have reported in the past that MC works as a base game.

Thanks once more, but Thunderbird just is not working. I've tried three different computers now. Every time I open the writer.eml file and just forward it to the email address I setup on my Vita it says sending failed. Does Thunderbird have to be setup with a specific email address? PS Vita email address? If all else fails, could I PM you the email I made so you could forward the eml file to me?

Unfortunately my account is American , there is no other exploitable game?
Not at the moment, no. But I think it's possible to purchase MGS PO+ from the European PC PS Store, then you can execute the download from the PC and download it from either a PS3 with your account linked and PSN access, or a seperate Vita with PSN access and your account linked.

If you are using Windows, in the Thunderbird window, press the Alt key to bring up the toolbar (the one with File/Edit/View, etc.) and then go to File -> New -> Existing Mail Account, and then enter your name, email address, and password, then follow the on-screen instructions.

I hate to bother you once more... lol but whenever I'm editing my app.db, what do I do, if anything? I have Midnight Carnival demo as my basegame, do I need to edit something in the app.db for that? Also, when I save and send it back to my Vita and open it, it don't show up as a camera icon, it shows "file is not compatible with Vita System". I just renamed it to "#0" without the quotation like the guide said. Why is it not showing up as compatible? Is it because I should edit something??

Why are you editing app.db lol? The TN-V/VHBL installation tutorial never tells you to do that! :P
The only thing you will need to use the mail exploit for is writing the TN-V PBOOT to your Midnight Carnival folder on your memory card. (make "ux0:pspemu/PSP/GAME/NPUG80318/PBOOT.PBP" the subject of your email, and send the PBOOT.PBP, renamed to #0, as the attachment)
(Also, I am assuming you own the US copy of MC; Title IDs differ from region to region)

Also, the reason you are getting the "file not compatable" error is because you haven't followed Tutorial 1 which properly sets up the email exploit for writing files to the Vita. This is a key part I forgot to mention earlier in this thread!
