Let me explain in detail, because my question is very specific.

Firstly, lets get my info out of the way:

I got installed the jap version of Monster hunter x in cia format.

I know that some games dont support saves from different regions.

I know that the usa version of the game isn't released, but i want to be prepared.(Also my friend recently got me hooked into this game, and im addicted to it.)

I have a USA n3ds, gateway, sysnand 9.2, emunand 11.

So my question is: Could I transfer my cia save from the JAP version of MHX to use in USA cia version of MHGenerations? If so, how can I?

Thanks for reading and helping.

I know that most Nintendo games support this. People transferred their Fire Emblem If save to their Fire Emblem Fates games. I managed to put my Ace Attorney Trilogy EUR save on my USA cia and it still worked just fine.

Basically, it should work with little to no errors.

Yeah, but is there a guide out there to do so? Or a similar (solved) thread?

(Yes, I've googled.)

Get a save manager (all of them can work with manual file copypasting, plus svdt since forever and JK since the mid-may build can just load a save from an arbitrary folder), export from original, import into destination...

Im pretty sure is not that simple putting a JAP .3DS SAVE to a USA .CIA GAME.

My feeling exactly, I put in about 20 hours when English Patch first hit but slowly stopped since I imagined we would see an English Release with it close I kind of want to play again but don't want to waste time if I got to start over! I'm kinda hopefully it would transfer over but I recall reading a tool was made for MH4G to MH4U or something alone those lines and well there is no way I'm not playing Generations day 1.

Exactly the reason why i created this thread.

Seeing some differences in the JAP version and the USA version makes me worry of saves being compatible or not.

I did this with 7th Dragon III code:VFD. I got the Japanese .cia started the game, applied cheats and whatever else I needed, saves my game, then transferred the save via JKSM app onto my USA .cia Worked perfect! Not to say it will every time. Just got to try it I guess. Please note both copies were unedited as in hex or else wise. It did not work if the game was tampered with prior.
