So I think I'm finally ready to take the plunge to downgrade, get my OTP and then go A9LH but since my 32gb SD card shows signs of slowdowns I want to use the original 8gb SD card that came with my new 3DS to complete the process. I would setup a freshly cloned 9.2 EmuNAND on the new card and then later on switch back to my normal EmuNAND once AH9L is installed this should work, right?

When I follow the guide I would do the preparation part of Part 5 on both SD-cards and then during Step IV I would switch to my 32gb SD card and use emuNAND_original.bin from my previous EmuNAND, or would there be any problems doing it that way?

Alternatively I wouldn't mind cloning my actual EmuNAND to the 8gb SD card though the Nintendo3DS folder will obviously not fit on there, would all my installed games reappear once I switch back to the 32gb card?

Now two other questions I've had:

I have some self-injected GBA games installed on my SysNAND, should I uninstall them before I attempt to downgrade to 2.1? My common-sense would dictate no as SysNAND will be overwritten with the 2.1 downgraded EmuNAND so they wouldn't be there and even if they have invalid signatures which the 2.1 SysNAND after the flash would ignore anyway.

Secondly, I've read the OTP guide multiple times now over the spawn of months and there is something I was curious about: I could swear that in the previous versions the A9LH install was done after upgrading SysNAND back to 9.2 but reading it now again A9LH will be installed while the 3DS is still on 2.1. I assume this change was made to eliminate any risk that stems from re-flashing SysNAND while on 2.1?

Thanks for any help in advance! :)

EDIT: Sorry I forgot to put [Question] in the title >.<

make a NAND backup of the emunand on the 32GB, then do the whole process with the other SD, and at the end restore the NAND backup with your 32 GB SD, after copying everything over from the 8 GB SD

Thanks for the reply! Okay alright so this part works as I expected.

First, two things i have to say:

1- if your SD card is showing some slow down,it doesn't matter, better change it soon then to be sorry later.
2 - the card that comes with new 3ds US 4 GB not 8 GB,maybe you forgot you changed the ms SD card when you bought the n3ds.

Hmm yeah I guess, I should see if my local store still has this sale on Samsung MicroSD's but honestly it feels like the normal "SD card getting full" slowdown, as in .cia's take longer to install than at the beginning but I would like to eliminate any possibilities for "Ooops... something went wrong" moments :P

And huh okay I guess the 8gb card came with my tablet then, not that it matters o.o

EDIT: Though I'm in the EU but I really don't remember what the new 3DS actually came with.

would this also be able to make a9lh work using both SD cards? im assuming one cant just simply copy all the data over from one sd card to another after the process is complete?
