Hacking Can you update emunand on N3DS??

Hey folks,

I have been trying to get Mario & Sonic working on my daughter's N3DS with CFW 9.0.0-20 but I believe the game needs to be either firmware spoofed or my emunand needs to be a minimum of 9.5.

How do I resolve this issue - can I update the emunand through system update??

Yes you can, just make sure you are on emuNAND and not sysNAND when you update, and you have to do it through system settings. Don't update through the pop up box.

Yes. However, via System Settings only. Also, make sure your EmuNAND and SysNAND are unlinked.

While in EmuNAND, go to System Settings -> Other Settings -> System Update. Again, make sure you are in EmuNAND. Depending on your CFW, it'll say something in front of your System Version, such as "Emu"

Ok - i updated in emunand system settings but now the console won't boot - just goes to a black screen. I was using rxtools - autoboot into emunand - now all i am getting is the bottom screen going black after the usual boot up sequence.

Any ideas lol?

You should probably switch over to Luma3DS. Rxtools is outdated and probably doesn't work well on the newest firmware.
