I want to get a n3DSXL from Mediamakrt, but it's only available as a webshop item. How could I convince ma', that it's safe to buy from there?

Here's what to consider:
  • she's ~45yr old
  • she "solves" technical problems by smashing it until it works or breaks
  • she doesn't understand any technical stuff, she only gets angrier
Btw, it is my money, but it's her bank card, so that's why I need to convince her.
btw, I'm not legally eglible to have a bank card, so getting one is not an option.

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.mediamarkt.com Trustpilot didn't seem to approve of them too much. What I got out of the negative ratings are just mostly complaints about slow service. Not really any scam reports from what I saw. So yeah, the site can be trusted for deliveries, just not a timely one. But these people also seemed to be ordering for their businesses, so they got like 10 TVs, stuff like that.

I've never heard of this place is it spelled Mediamakrt or Mediamarkt?
Anyway you could try showing reviews for website showing that its safe.
Could you get someone else to buy it instead?

Your best shot would be to find someone she and you know, that has ordered from there already. If that isn't an option then it could get more complicated(or impossible depending on her reasoning).

The next thing I write assuming that with Mediamarkt you mean this one http://www.mediamarkt.de/. You can start with the fact that Mediamarkt is a large and well known company. Next thing you can show is that the site has a service hotline and full company information(that can be verified) under "Impressum". If that doesn't do any good then I doubt youļl get her to trust online-shops.

Well, I might be able to convince the person I bought the external HDD with to order it for me
Also, you're so close, it's https://mediamarkt.at/ :P
But anyways, I'll read thru' the Impressum page, and I might show it to her, thanks for the tip :D

Huh, Mediamarkt had 3DSes?

You know there's no GameStop or anything like that in Hungary, right?
Well, in Österreich, there is, so that's why you can buy a 3DS from Mediamarkt :P
