Hacking How to get my hs.app back if I don't have a backup of it?

Hi,

This is going to sound like a stupid question but I'm going to ask anyway. I have A9LH installed and have FBI installed instead of the Health and Safety app. I want to put the H&S app back and then install FBI as its own app so I can update easier. The only problem is I no longer have a backup of the hs.app that was made or this would be easy. What I do have is many copies of the backup nands. I have

sysNAND_original.bin
sysNAND.bin
sysNAND-A9LHAX.bin
emuNAND_original.bin
emuNAND_formatted.bin


So my question is there any way I can get the hs.app from any of these nands and then inject it to the current nand?

Now, this may sound incredibly idiotic, but I still have mine. I'm on an 03DS, so Idk if it would work or not. If it's possible, I can probably give mine to you

1) Install the FBI (non-H&S)
2) Delete the H&S FBI with non-H&S FBI
3) Download your H&S with 3DNUS using this to find out which one you need to get
3) Re-install the H&S and boom!

alt 3. you can reinstall h&s with the fbi ticket feat. just pay attention to the title id when uninstalling

This seems easy. I have a N3DS so I would use the v1 EUR/USA Versions? I found FBI under "Titles" in the new FBI install which is how I uninstall it correct? How do I make sure when I go to reinstall the h&s app that I install it back to the NAND? Thanks

1) Correct, use the title ID (USA) then use the v1 (EUR)
2) Yes, un-install it that way (make sure it's the H&S first!)
3) If you installed the newest FBI, H&S will automatically be installed to NAND

You dont even need to reinstall the H&S app so long as you are already running the latest system firmware.
I deleted mine a few days ago and then a day later i got a system update that reinstalled it.

Can you be more specific? Does your 3ds not boot? Does it blink a blue light then turn off? Have you got A9LH? If not, have you tried booting without sd card? If yes, have you tried using an sd card?

I used a9lh. . So it can be turn without memory sd.. Now my sd card has corupt (all file is gone).. So i can turn on my 3ds..

All you need to do is install the Fbi cia then load it go to titles look for health and safety app delete it go to 3ds system settings then select update system and the missing health and safety app will be downloaded and installed it's as easy as that and I know it works because I just did it before typing this message lol.

Weird thing is that H&S does not show up in FBI - I tried both the CIA and the injected app but H&S is not there. I re-injected newer versions of FBI a couple times - could this be the cause of the problem?

Thanks guys I was able to get it back to normal with FBI installed from a cia.

I just did this a few days ago. Install FBI using the most recent .cia, and run that version. Go to Titles. You'll see an entry in green labeled FBI near the top of the list: this is the .cia version of FBI that you are currently running. Don't delete that one.

On my o3DS, my H&S-injected FBI was listed in red as CTR-N-HACE. It was near the top of the list, near System Settings, Download Play, Activity Log, Nintendo 3DS Camera, etc. That's the title you should delete.

Exit FBI. You'll may still see the old H&S-injected FBI icon. Restart your 3DS. Icon should be gone. Do a normal system update through settings, and the original H&S will come back.
