So when creating my thread, I noticed there was no option to save my thread as a draft. Which basically meant I had to finish my thread before posting it.
I wondering if it would be possible to create a Drafting option, where a user to can save their work outside of the public eye, allowing for more testing and clearer threads?
I think this feature would work best with Stickies that provide large amounts of information and basically allow the creator of the thread to be able to maintain it and test out new options before posting them. I know there is an "auto-save" in the thread, but I often find it either saves to early, so some work is lost or where it saves causes issues.
Having an option where I can just save the thread myself and store it out of the public eye, would allow greater control over the content and allow better content to be made as it would allow the OP to be able to really take their time with the thread.

You could switch to bbcode editing and stick it in notepad.
But I still agree, this would be a good feature.

Yeah I agree this would be a nice feature. It's something that is possible to do in the Review Center since you can choose whether or not to publish a review, so why not let it be in threads as well?

I actually do that, but then I loss the links or any custom features I use on the site. Simply saving it server-side, would keep the the thread perfectly intact and keep stock the GBAtemp setup.

If you switch to bbcode first then everything will be completely preserved in Notepad.
I didn't know that, I just simply copy-pasted my thread. I had like 10 random notepads made for threads I was going to make.
I clearly misunderstood that feature.

Also we do automatically save WIP posts server sided. Only in the text box, so it doesn't really render the same as it does in page, but it saves your work at least
It does auto-save posts in already made threads.
But if I start a thread, it will not save the work I am currently working on, until I post that thread. So it would be nice to have an option to save that thread, so when I start a new thread, I have the option to open the thread(s) I was currently working on.

Just tested and it does save thread drafts for me. If I close the page then go back to the post thread screen for the same forum, the content will still be there.
If it doesn't work you can try manually pressing the save button in the editor.
