Hi!
So, I have a New 3DS on fw 9.9.0 and i want to play original games (my next purchase is going to be Monster Hunter Generations) and access the eShop for demos (if possible), without having to lose Homebrew channel.
What is the best i can do?
Thanks.

You can use ctr-httpwn. You probably already have it within your homebrew list as it is included in the starter pack, unless you have installed the homebrew launcher a while ago and never updated the launcher or the starter pack.

This app temporarily disables the checks for updates and lets you play online or go to the eShop from older versions (until you reboot). Read the "Usage" part of the project's README file.

I tried that and used the Hans E-shop, it logins but it crashes after entering the store. Another thing is, how do i launch the game i have on the console, without rebooting when i'm on the homebrew channel?
Thank you again for your help.

Why not create an Emunand and update that so you don't lose anything?
or go with A9LH:ph34r:

Edit: Read this with Emunand being interchangeable with rednand:
when you have Emunand you can use menuhax to boot straight into your Emunand and then use the homebrew launcher cia to boot the homebrew launcher. You can access the Eshop and play your retail games and download games too!

When you exit the Homebrew Launcher, there's an option to do so without rebooting. If the option is not there, download the latest version of the Homebrew Launcher or the whole starter pack from here (see "Preparing your SD card").

Of course, as @Temarile suggested you also have the alternative "solutions" of downgrading to 9.2, and then either setting up an EmuNAND (emulated version of your system) that you could update to 11.0, or installing arm9loaderhax and not worrying about staying on 9.9 again. Feel free to go the way you feel comfortable with, and also feel free to ask questions if you need help with hacking the 3DS.

I have a really stupid problem now. When i use homebrew channel and go to menu without reboot, the c-stick doesn't work in games. The game detects the stick but it just doesn't work.

Just tried on mine and no issues. Does it work on the home menu? Did you try to reboot the console and go over the process again?

Yes, it works on the home menu. It doesn't make sense.
If i turn on the console and go direct to the game, it works.
If i press the L-button to go to homebrew channel, go to home menu without reboot and enter the game it doesn't work.

Can you still use browserhax? Or do you have another *hax entrypoint to try with that instead of menuhax?

P.S.: if the browser asks you to update, change the date to 01/01/2000, 00:00 and open the browser again before the minute passes.

I have ironhax but it doesn't appear the option to go to home menu without reboot if i enter homebrew channel from that.
If i do browserhax it appears that option?

It should, yes. I'm suggesting this just to test, and if the C-stick does work when you do it via browserhax, then you would uninstall menuhax (by changing the theme to reset the theme data) and then reinstall it again through browserhax.

I got browserhax to work, entered homebrew channel, went to home menu without reboot and this time the C-stick didn't even worked on the menu!
So alternatives... can i upgrade to a slightly higher fw with a game, without losing FBI and ctr-httpw? I have a friend with LBX Little Battlers Experience but don't know the fw that it has.
Thanks for all the help!!!

Don't update past 10.5 or you'll lose menuhax and browserhax.

LBX - Little Battlers eXperience is 9.8.0 according to the 3DS releases database.

Aternatives: I would still suggest to uninstall menuhax by changing the theme and reinstall it through browserhax, just to try out.

For a more reliable alternative, and if you don't care about your StreetPass data and activity log, you could backup the CIA saves using svdt, then format the N3DS and downgrade it to 9.2.
From that point, you could either setup an EmuNAND (a copy of your system NAND on the SD card) that you can safely update to the latest firmware and play all the games you want, or you could install arm9loaderhax and then update your system NAND or setup an EmuNAND.

Check this guide out if you want to go that way. It covers the 9.2 downgrading part, the EmuNAND (or RedNAND, it's basically the same thing) setup and the arm9loaderhax installation part. If you don't want to install arm9loaderhax (it's takes a few hours to do), just stop at part 4 step 33.

My only concern in doing that is really brick the console. Is there a big difference in having 10.5 instead of 9.9? I know someone with the new Fire Emblem, and the fw in Europe is 10.5

If you format it before downgrading it to 9.2, then just follow the instructions to the letter (if you are using Chrome or Opera, you can use this extension to help you), everything should be fine. The tools are reliable, and potential bricks are caused by user error (misreading, skipping steps, doing something stupid). Still, if you don't feel you want to do it, then just don't, it's up to you. I was just mentioning alternatives like you asked. :P

As for updating to 10.5, your browser won't be updated, so there's a chance it won't work anymore (thus no browserhax). Also, I couldn't tell if menuhax will still be installed after the update, need someone to confirm.

So basically, IF updating to 10.5 through a cart breaks the browser and uninstalls menuhax, you won't be able to access homebrew from there unless you have a hackable game (Cubic Ninja, Freakyforms Deluxe, Super Smash Bros., OoT3D + a way to inject a save).

If the after the update menuhax is still there, I honestly couldn't tell you if the C-stick issue will still be there or not, first time I hear about it is through this thread.
