So, I'm trying to play Wii games from an external hard drive through the use of 'USB Loader GX', and whenever I try to run it with the hard drive plugged in, this pops up. What does it mean, and what am I doing wrong? I have gotten this to work in the past, but I accidentally formatted this same hard drive when backing up my computer, so everything was deleted, (I was reckless, no judging please.) It wasn't until now, that I've started the process of this again, that this error has popped up. Any ideas? Thoughts?

What is your USB Loader GX version/revision? If you're not sure then you probably don't have the latest version and you can find it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/33llk7a17ucr25f/R1260.7z
How is your hard drive formatted?
What port is the HDD plugged into?
Are you using any unofficial Wii Remotes or Classic Controller/Nunchuck attachments? These tend to have problems with homebrew.
Are you using a Wii Remote Plus (motionplus included)? These tend to have problems with homebrew as well.
What IOS (and version) is HBC running under (if you're running USBLGX from that), press home in HBC to see the IOS. If you're running it from its own channel then that doesn't matter.
Also post a sysCheck. https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

I'm not sure of the version, I'll check that out.
It's formatted as WBFS.
It's plugged into the second port, but I've checked both ports and the same result occurs.
Just a normal, white remote.
No Wii Motion.
"1.1.2 IOS58 v24.32"
I'll get the sysCheck momentarily. I'm on a mac, so it's different from the tutorial you sent.

Which is the second port? The top (side without the small rubber feet if vertical) or bottom?

I would recommend using FAT32 or NTFS instead of WBFS, for several reasons. First, it's more reliable, second, it makes it easier to copy games over, third, WBFS has a tendency to corrupt existing games when you add new ones, and fourth, you can use the disk for GameCube games and other files as well. Including homebrew as HBC is able to load from a FAT32 formatted HDD now.
FAT32 is required for GameCube games though (unless Nintendont added NTFS support now)
You can convert WBFS to FAT32 quickly using this tool: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wbfs2fat-py.291320/

Hey! I got it working. Yeah, so I guess the files I had got corrupt or something??? I just deleted everything on the SD card and reinstalled USB Loader, and it worked. So yeah, haha, thanks for putting up with me! I appreciate the effort. I did use the program to reformat the hard drive to FAT32 as well, so that, most likely, made it work as well. Thanks!
