I ordered a 2GB SD Card from Amazon last month in order to get Project M on my Wii U using Homebrew (since I'm PAL). I took all of the files from the Homebrew Channel and put them onto my SD Card and put it into my Wii and the red envelope was nowhere to be found.

Can somebody help?

Letterbomb doesn't work in the Wii U's virtual Wii mode; they fixed it.

Your only option is to buy one of the original exploit games such as smash bros. Wii (smash stack), or Lego Batman (bathax) etc.

Damn it, I meant to say Wii, not Wii U. Sorry about that :P
heh, no worries! :lol:

Then may I ask what firmware are you on? Because if I remember rightly, if you are under 4.3, the red envelope won't appear in the Wii Message Board anyway.

could be 1 of 2 things;
- you could've entered your Wii's MAC Address incorrectly when getting the download from the hackmii website.
- the 'private' folder may not be at the root of the SD card, or the folder's contents may be in the wrong place.

Other than that, I'm not too sure. You should be seeing a little mail icon somewhere on the calendar that indicates that the red envelope is on that date.

I tried again and put the private folder and the boot file as the only things on the SD Card. Is that OK?

Voxel Studios pretty much covered everything.
If you're still not able to get it work, you must have again mistyped the MAC address (ensure your Wii is connected, first).
Your SD card's file system must be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32--not NTFS.
...and you must select 4.3E from the top of the letterbomb page.

Just for the hell of it, rename your old sd:\private folder to anything at all but "private", and try this process again, with the new one you downloaded being the only "private" folder in the root of your SD card. (You may have forgotten to do that which may have caused the failure the second time)

just to let anyone else know, sometimes you wont see the letterbomb immediately so when you open that envelope choose calendar and it will show all messages available, your letterbomb might be on an earlier date like a month early thus wont show up on "today" or the day before..
