Does anyone know what the firmwares for the new Japanese n3ds consoles are? I'm looking into updating from an o3ds to the n3ds and I like the color schemes of the new releases.
Technically they are hackable with a hardmod or freakyforms deluxe.Ok, I found out what the firmware is on the pink/white, lime/black.
The firmware is 11.0-33.
So if anyone wants these colors, they will have to wait till 11 is hackable
Well, they would be hackable with a hardmod AND freakyforms deluxe, if FFD had a physical release in Japan. So, right now, the only way to downgrade them is hardmodding + CN (or OOT + Powersave).Technically they are hackable with a hardmod or freakyforms deluxe.

But even with just homebrew access the 3DS is still hacked, right?Freakyfarm will not allow you to downgrade 11.xxx. You hardmod, patch files to 10.7 firm, than use CN, browswerhax or OoT to launch homebrew. Native firm being back on 10.7 allows for arm9 access / downgrade access.

Is there more than one report about these systems being 11.0? I'm still in the denial stage.Ok, I found out what the firmware is on the pink/white, lime/black.

I have a Lime and a Pink unit, both bought Saturday in Tokyo. The firmware on both is 10.7.0-32, maybe I got lucky...

I asked the retailer who was selling the Pink/White Japanese N3ds. Though he didn't actually show me the firmware just told me it was the latest. As I am not Hong Kong Native, he probably just told me "yes yes" to get rid of me.
It is indeed 10.7 not 11 as the guy mentioned.
The HK customs have been cracking down on console piracy in the last few years (chipped Wiis were used to sold everywhere). Now these shops either won't have hacked consoles for sale or only sell them to familiar customers in order to avoid being ratted out by undercover officers. He knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Everyone in HK asking about firmware does one thing. I remember when I asked for a PSP the first thing he told me was he won't hack it. I didn't even ask about that.
But yes, my knowledge of the pink/white, lime/black n3DS firmware is only secondhand. But at least there is hope that it might not be 11.
