[EDITED] Ok, my son wants his save back (because i get married & have kids in the game and so on...)

I have used the arm9loaderhx github process to install cfw luma...
Before i was in dual sysnand/emunand gateway. Tomodachi was a legit cia installed in my 4.4 sysnand. I.e. when i booted in 4.4 i was able to play the game.

- I have my old sysnand.bin, old emunand.bin & otp.bin
- I have a copy of my previous SDcard (gateway) where the saves are encrypted
- I think i found the location (folder linked to my 4.4 sysnand) : d44ffaa929ed90643a4276aba6aa2e05/86df00c83110b02a3030303000284245/exdata/00000000/000008c4/00000000/ where i have 5 files from 00000001 to 00000005 with no extension.
Is it possible with luma to boot in my old sysnand (as emunand), getting my saves, delete sysnand, boot in cfw sysnand arm9 ?
Can i get a tuto please ?

THX

Backup your actual sysnand. (in case something went wrong)
Create emunand with your old emunand.bin
Boot to emunand, use JKSM to get the saves. (put the old Nintendo 3DS folder in your SD card ofc)
Delete emunand.

How do you create emunand ? put the old.bin on my sdcard and use emunand9 ? Then how do i boot in emunand ?

[Sure there is no "off3DS" tools (on PC) to make .SAV from (emunand.bin + encrypted_files_from_exdata_dir) ?]

1. i simply put my old3DSemunand.bin on my SD card or do i have to create a emunand partition ?
2. Il also put my old Nintendo3DS folder (merge it with existing Nintendo3DS folder ?)
3. i boot in emunand, how?
4. use JKSM to get my save of tomodachi

If you have the Nintendo 3ds folder, then there are the saves. I don't know if copying the game's folder to your 3ds with luma will works (if those are different nands and have difference n3ds folder -nintendo 3ds/20202013xxxx - nintendo3ds/10201203xxxx)
Try with that. Because if you use your nand's backup and re-install the cia, it will appear with no save data for obvious reasons.

What's the confusion? Just saying you titled the topic funny and it sounds like someone was messing with your son.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I did not copy the saves of my son before ARm9-luma-erase !! My bad ! My son really cry when i said there is no one on the island... I was so sorry... Now i'm trying to fix it...

Its not a big deal, I hope everything works out well. Let this be a lesson to always make a backup.

Is in the same 3ds? does the nintendo 3ds folder have a different number? (i mean if those nands are completely differents). If that's the case, then load the nand that was used for tomodachi using it as emunand (create partition), reinstall the cia (if it's necessary) and copy your Nintendo 3ds folder. That should work IF you use the correct nand (then use JK' save manager, etc)

Create emunand partition with my original 4.4 sysnand ..... How to ? Is it possible to boot on a 4.4 fw with luma ?

Make backup of SD contents and add your emuNAND.bin that was the NAND that contained the save. Boot into emunand9. Create emuNAND. Restore the emuNAND.bin to emuNAND (can't remember if you have to be on Decrypt9 or you can do it in emuNAND9). Copy on SD card contents from before when you were on the NAND with the save (plus arm9loaderhax.bin and the luma folder with payloads). Hold select when you boot up and select options that will make you boot into emuNAND (I think unchecking updated sysNAND) then you can boot into emuNAND and use JKSM to backup your save.

Thx to you shrodinger cat.
1. "(plus arm9loaderhax.bin and the luma folder with payloads)." They are already on my card, no ? Or you mean i use an other card to do the job ?
2. Sure i can boot with my 4.4 sysnand renamed emunand ?
3. And after this, how to go back to cfw 11.0 arm9 ?

1. Just added this because you would have copied over the files from the previous NAND. Without arm9loaderhax.bin it won't boot.
2. Yes you can boot into any firmware emuNAND (not 2.1 though)
3. Your sysNAND will be untouched, you can just remove the emuNAND from your SD card when done, using emuNAND9. And change the Luma settings back to updated sysNAND.
