Hardware Will there ever be a standard new 3DS in black? (in the US)

I've been patiently waiting for a new 3DS specifically in black since white is awful for reasons. I'm somewhat ok with having to be forced into buying it with a digital game (not really) even though I only purchase games physically but I just don't understand why only its only been released in white. All 2-3 bundles ever released have been white and I'm hoping a major release like Pokemon will finally make one.

When you watching a movie in a theatre the borders and throughout surrounding screen are dark so more focus is on the picture. The same idea works here on 3DS and it's exactly why I want it in black. NoA is just being difficult for some reason.

The way localization has been lately would you WANT it from NoA? I trust fans over "official" translations these days.

The black new 3ds is a Eur and Jap exclusive I think for now.
Either you wait for a US black one or import it.
I didn't like how the regular is only white and only comes in a bundle for US region. So I got a Black MHX bundle from Japan instead.

The serial would still not be from the US and I don't want any complications with my digital purchases if I ever need to contact NoA for any reason.

I believe Canada and US should share the same region. If you're sure that yours is a US region n3ds then the question now is why is it not available in the USA itself? XD Otherwise I would have just gotten myself a US region black n3ds and not a Jap Black n3DS that I region changed.

You sure it's a n3DS and not an XL? Only ones I've seen in America are the white Animal Crossing/Pokemon ones; doesn't seem likely that Canada got anything else.

But yeah, if you want any sort of legit digital purchases region-changing isn't a solution anyways. As far as I know there's no way to use an out-of-region eShop on a new3DS.

Well that's if someone is comfortable dissembling a completely new one, just for a shell. I guess if they buy used, it would sort of work..

I don't know, I am personally importing the EUR version one of these days. (I keep saying this, but keep putting it off, sigh)

It looks like they are too lazy to use a different color, since people are expected to buy and use face plates. Lower production cost as well

You can buy a white US one and either get a new shell or buy a black one and swap motherboards. Then you can still contact Nintendo.
