Running loadiine on latest wii u update (5.5.1).

No matter what I do MK8 always freezes on boot. I make it to the initial title screen and then the game freezes the second you start to hear a kart starting. I've tried going back to prior builds of loadiine, booting it in smash bros mode, booting it in mii maker mode, re-downloading the game from different place (thinking maybe I got a bad file) no matter what I get the same result. I look through these forums and feel like I'm the only one having this problem. Any other game I've tried with loadiine has booted perfectly and played fine. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

Mine works fine until last night when i tried to install an update to it. Then I screwed something up.
That's because the updates aren't compatible with loadiine if you are using mii maker, you need a copy of smash and boot it in smash mode.

Then what about me though. I have a copy of smash and I've tried booting it in smash bros mode. Still freezes on boot.

So I can't use the updates?
If you don't have smash then no.
With Mario Kart 8 that is, other games should work fine with them.

Well, I had the same problem actually.
In my case, it was because my update was corrupted (Incomplete download)
Never had a problem with the base game though. The latest loadiine can without doubt play it, make sure that you got your folders in order and that the game is the same region than your console I guess?

Looked over everything, tried even more things I have absolutely no idea what's wrong the only thing I could guess is that since my region is off (Files I have are EUR while my console is USA) its causing it to freeze up. But according to the compatibility list EUR MK8 should work fine on USA consoles. So again, I have no idea what's wrong.

Would you believe months later I'm still trying to figure this out? I think you were onto something here, but could you further explain what you mean by all this?

This has become something like an age old issue. Loadiine will not boot mario kart 8 no matter what I try. I've tried re-downloading it from different sources downloading different regions of the game, using different versions of loadiine, booting in smash or mii maker, but I always get the same result (which is it freezing on the title screen). it makes this horrible buzzing everytime it freezes too. the only thing I could think of was how I haven't bothered with the that update file a few of the downloaded mk8s came with, but I thought whether I had the update in or not didn't matter. So again, does anyone have any idea how I could solve this?

Did you read the loadiine compatability thread? MK8 will not work in miimaker mode if you have any updates for MK8. It will work on miimaker mode as long as no game updates have been applied. If you want to play with all the updates you have to use a Super Smash Bros disc and run it in SSBB mode.

I play it all the time in loadiine in SSBB mode with all updates and the DLC I bought.

I haven't applied any updates. Neither mii maker nor Smash mode works for me either way it freezes at the title screen

Perhaps you have a bad dump. Dump your game again (that is, if you actually bought the game and dumped it for loadiine)

because the other one was from 4-5 months ago and the issue wasn't solved at all.
Yes but you should have posted again in the old thread and not created a new one for the same issue that only you seem to have as everyone else can get the game to work. Thread also reported by me for the break of gbatemp rules.
