It would be really awesome if we could just download a file from any link/website to the 3DS. I know it's possible. It doesn't need to be fancy with the UI or anything. If it could just do the basic function of downloading a file from a URL the user can type to a customizable directory it'd be a REALLY useful program. Please express your thoughts about this idea.
If someone doesn't make this program, it'll probably be my first because it seems simple enough.

How does it resolve an HTML file if one directs to, say, a ZIP file? That sounds...impossible. I could see it causing an error, unless of course it just appends .html to whatever URL is given. Even then, that sounds a little too retarded.
or it downloads .html of the weppage, or it does nothing

If I weren't on my phone I'd test this.
That would be my KoopaCruiser app but atm it's a bit useless.

If a decent homebrew keyboard becomes available (callable from C, so not kbkblib or whatever) I'll push a build to GitHub

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

or it downloads .html of the weppage, or it does nothing
It saves it to the app's directory as whatever the filename is, eg. http://example.com/myfile.psd saves as /3ds/KoopaCruiser/myfile.psd (assuming the 3dsx is installed in /3ds/KoopaCruiser/)

The URL atm is hardcoded into the source code though

We must always assume a piracy intent on this esteemed forum unless proven otherwise :P
Lol I already have those other explicit homebrew methods to pirate amongst the sea of free media. All I'm thinking of here is something that can download files in general from any specific given URL or location. Like, maybe I wanna download some recently released homebrew or a .bin file for one of the many that I do have. Also, the direction that this program could take may be wonderful :P With it, we could have a music/picture/video downloader

I wouldn't think it would be too hard, I'll look into it when I finish 3DSMH to a properly functional level
I'm actually very impressed with your work as of late :) keep up the good work man
