I'm back again, with another problem with my wii. (EVERYTHING WORKED FINE PRIOR TO THIS) Last night, my 500GB Seagate external HDD decided it would corrupt on me. Kind of annoying, oh well. So then I repaired it, formatted it to Fat32 as usual, and put my wii isos back on, along with a few gb roms. One thing that really sucked about this was that I finally moved my TV from my floor to a good place that ISN'T THE FLOOR. Well, I boot up my wii, sit in my chair thinking I can just chill and play Punch-Out!! and a few other games, and guess what? Wiiflow decides that it doesn't need to load the backup. I tried both usb ports, and nothing helped. Gb roms load just fine. Usb loader gx and cfg usb loader won't work either. Heck, CUL and ULGx don't even see the wii backups. Wiiflow sees them but won't load them when I press play. All I have on my external HDD is the folder "wbfs" and the vbagx folder. Nothing is changed as far as I know. Soooo, if you have a solution, reply. If you're going to tell me "partition wbfs Xd" then get off this thread, because I didn't need to do that before, so why should I have to now? Also, I'm positive that my ROMs are good, because I ripped them from the discs a second time after this.

All I could have really thinked you done wrong is installing USB Loader/CFG Manager. Keep in mind I do not use Wii Flow. But I will explain how to do it with USB Loader.

USB Loader requires you to have the main folder on the root of the SD Folder. You should have a USBLoader folder on there, and the USB Loader App on the SD Card. (In app's folder.) This requires the same thing for WiiFlow.

You also need a cIOS with USB Loader for it to fully work.

The only thing I could think of on why it no longer works is becuase the game does not work as correctly with WiiFlow, or whatever you are using. But I don't really see why USB Loader won't work anymore, or CFG Manager... Maybe an IOS is taking it up?

Okay let me get this straight. Are you able to load up the USB Loader menu, CFG, etc at all?

Same games i was able to load fine before. None of the games load now

I went ahead and done some brain storming.
If you use wbfs (WiiFlow) You should be aware you will need to have the cIOS installed (d2x I believe for USB Loader.) You will also need to have files loaded on the game CORRECTLY.

Which I know you probably did; But on topic, you said your External Hard Drive had corrupted correct? I believe if you had reformatted it using the USB Loader GX while you already made a hard drive for it specificly. The Wii may be getting confused becuase there are two directories to get into USB Loader GX, or any other app that uses a similar system.

Just to test if your Wii can even run the games anymore I would recommend getting a USB Stick, (about 4GB minimum) and put one of your games from the external hard drive from the Stick, and run them on each of the loaders. If whatever works best for you use that loader, and uninstall all the others to prevent further issues.

It may even be the version your running the loaders on as well.

Also; make sure you have the following settings on before you play on it;

Priiloader - Region Free ALL (enabled, all other settings disabled.)

In a luck shot you can even try formatting the loader again, completely reinstall the apps, etc... If all else fails I would recommend talking to the mod authors.

I tried everything, nothing worked except for burnt discs. Not like it really matters, my wii is displaying everything in white. Even the homebrew channel is white. I'll post an image as soon as I find my phone

EDIT: Nevermind. Fixed my tv by changing it from component to composite. Kinda sucks but oh well. And I tried using an 8gb lexar flash drive, didn't work. Bad cIos maybe?

Probably.

You could try completely reinstalling it. But in case. Make a new WBFS Folder on your SD Card. Some easily get corrupted when you delete games, or when your External Hard Drive gets corrupted. Sorry about suggesting the USB Stick before this

If the problem still is not fixed it's likely there is a bad cIOS on your Wii.

Can you do a SysCheck, and post the results of your Wii here?

Do not patch any IOSes below 200. Ever. Ever-ever, ever. There is no need to and you're being given bad information.

Your SysCheck shows "HomebrewChannel1.0.0 running on IOS0"

This is completely invalid. There is no IOS0 and the latest HBC is 1.1.2. You probably need to go get the HackMii Installer and reinstall. Do not use anything more than a 2GB SD card. Not SDHC, not SDXC when running it.

You either have a problem with your console or whatever device you're trying to store your games on. Put ALL of your homebrew on a FAT32-formatted SD card and your game disc images on a USB HDD.

But I don't have any 2gb sd cards... The one I've been using forever is a 4 gb sd

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

One more question, does the allocation size on my ex hdd have to be 32 kilobytes?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Well, I have a 2gb micro sd, but I'd have to use a micro sd adapter, would that work? @GreyWolf

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I reinstalled the homebrew channel, didn't change what ios was running on it, and it still says 1.0.0 even though I have 1.1.2

I don't think I have, do I have to?

The STUB IOS's are used to mainly block the Wii to mod it's self. They normally stop you from modding anyway possible. I would highly recommend deleteing those in MMM by going into;

"Remove Stubbed IOS's"

Then select the first option;
"Remove all stub IOS 222, 223, 249, 250, 254"
This will allow the Wii to install cIOS's correctly, and have them not be blocked by the STUB's trying to block those Mod's from working.

For IOS 39 that is mostly optional. The only issue I had without having IOS 39 patched was Mymenuify not work. But installing it may help things become more compatible on your Wii.

Edit: On page start up you will notice that there is an option to patch IOS 39. Do not manually do so in IOS Manager.

The IOS Manager should look like this after completion.

Note: IOS 56 is in yellow. It's just covered by what I am selecting.

It said "Error removing IOS222 v65280" and "Error removing IOS223 v65280"

If those IOS files have cIOS's on them. remove the cIOS files from the Wii again by uninstalling them, then remove the STUB's, then install the cIOS again.

Also the above posts were meant to figure out what's going on with the issue... All above information until we had gotten to Multi Mod Manager is false, and bad information. However if your viewing this as a guest, and or trying to find out how to fix this. Please refer to the official USB Loader topic to figure out the best way to install it.

After that your Wii Games should work. Hopefully Homebrew on IOS 0 (For whatever reason being on there.) Will not cause issues with future modding.

If you have identified that it is not the STUB's it may be Homebrew being on IOS 0 as this is virtually impossible (As stated by Wolf.)

Hopefully it works after this.

For HBC running on IOS0 I believe it was not installed correctly, or it's an issue with your Wii. What method of hacking did you use to get HBC?

Edit: I would highly recommend using Multi Mod Manager to uninstall the cIOS Files, just make sure USB Loader GX, and other USB Loaders are uninstalled first NOT DOING SO MAY BRICK THE WII!

Dude, stop telling him to do things that make no sense. Stubs don't affect anything and there is no need to install old cIOSes. He only needs valid Nintendo system IOSes and d2x in 249/250.

This SysCheck version might give more accurate results.

What you're saying makes no sense.
@Gameboyandwatch Don't listen to this guy. He has no idea what he's talking about. Following his instructions might make things worse.

First of all, update your HBC using the latest HackMii Installer: http://bootmii.org/download/
Instead of the sysCheck version you ran previously, try running this one, it's more up to date: https://gbatemp.net/threads/syscheck-hacksden-edition.356133/
If your HBC is indeed that old, it won't have the AHBPROT flag, which will prevent USB loaders from working correctly.
