Hacking About to buy a GBA game for injection and have some questions.

Ok so first i read that you can't inject roms that are bigger the original game. So with that said what is the biggest data game i should buy that is under 12 dollars?
Second has anyone gotten Goomba Color to work? This is one reason i'm buying one.
Lastly is it safe to turn off tubehax just to buy the game and immediately turn it back on after downloading?
This is TCPgecko injection if that clears it up.
Also i have tried GBA2VC but that won't work.

Don't turn off TubeHax DNS (or whatever your DNS protection is), use NNU Patcher, it works with the homebrew launcher.

Most injects have been done with Superstar Saga AFAIK. So I suppose that game would be the one with the most data?

It doesn't mention anything about being limited to the size of the original game, so I would assume that it works with any game up to 32MB regardless of the source game used.
That is for Loadiine though, but Loadiine works just fine on the latest firmware (and you can download any GBA VC you want in Loadiine format for use as the source game )

you see the game i'm injecting give a black screen in loadiine though i know i can inject it since ive seen a video of it being done. thta is why i switched to TCPgecko injection.

You could have figured that out yourself, several games have 16M roms.
I originally started using Minish Cap because it has the biggest compressed rom in the .psb file but that is no longer an issue.

For Goomba to work, you have to pad the end of the file (the .GBA file that Goomba spits out) with FF's to make it the same size as the one you're replacing.

Yes, by hex editing.

I imagine before you do either, but I used it with ajd4096's python injector and then replaced the files for use in Loadiine.

Note that there's a simple guide for doing it (including using Goomba) in The Definitive Guide sticky, under USEFUL HOMEBREW -> VC in Loadiine -> GBA

latest gba injector makes all that by default lol no need to pad anything unless your using the r1 version lol.

OP use this program and your good to goso far i havent seen a gba game that just doesnt work, some have gfx glitches but thats it.
