I want to use cheats on a GBA Virtual Console game.

Is it possible to NTR CFW's cheat.plg as a cheat for a GBA VC game or does it only work for 3DS Games? If it does work, what kind of cheat code can it utilize? Like Action Replay Code, Game Shark Code, Codebreaker codes?

Both Links on the GBA Auto Trainer Maker are dead. The Old Download website is dead and the 1st download website could not be reached.

I had a thought, I checked the file on the SD Card for the GBA VC Game and it used a 00000001.sav file. I was wondering if I created a save file with a GBA Emulator on PC and applied the cheat and transfer it over if it would world. However, I don't know any GBA Emulators that create .sav files only save states which aren't the same thing.

Do you know any GBA Emulator that can make .sav files and use cheat codes?

I've only ever seen GBA emus that save in .SAV format. However, that doesn't mean they'll work. Here, found a different link for GBAATM: http://filetrip.net/gba-downloads/t...baatm-1-9-9-7-0-0-1-1-9-9-7-0-0-1-f33297.html

That's what I was thinking. But No$GBA uses .SNA snapshot saves and some others use .sgm save-state.

Which PC GBA Emulator uses .sav file format when saving?
Don't use save states. Try using VBA, it saves in .SAV format. Also, seriously, GBAATM does actually work. If you can run NTR, you can install your own converted GBA to .CIA ROMs.

Well that's what it shows I can save as when I do the save game. But it appears a .sav file appears in the no$GBA/battery folder.
all emulator can save the game profile as .sav.
real time save or save state are addition feature on emulator.

Okay so like you said. I transfered the sav file over to the folder and when starting up the game it gave me the Error Restart 3DS.

I will try GBAATM now, will this make it so the ROM turns into a Virtual Console game to just click and open from the home screen without an emulator?

What GBAATM does is patch the GBA ROM with a small cheat engine and cheat codes. You can use it with Simple GBA Converter and the footer generator with it to convert those patched GBA games into .CIA files. Remember to only use Codebreaker codes with it. Others are supposedly supported, but I only ever got Codebreaker to work.

NTR can't be used with it. I actually found a way to have cheats in GBA games on AGB_FIRM, though. Try this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/gba-auto-trainer-maker-gbaatm.99334/ . This patches a small cheat engine into the ROM itself. Use it along with this: https://github.com/d0k3/3DS-Tools-Collection/tree/master/3DS Simple GBA Converter . I only got Codebreaker codes to work on it though, so try using those codes exclusively.
Ooh, DIdn't know about this

And I was about to say Retroarch XD
