Homebrew A9lh Homemenu issues. Anyone have this.

My 3ds just started this yesterday, and it happens about once or twice every ten boots. I turn it on and my custom boot animation plays. The home menu starts up. Has my custom font, but the theme, instead of custom, is the standard white with no bgm. All my cia's are gone except for fbi that was injected in h&s.

Usually just rebooting fixes it, but it's happening more frequently. Anyone know what's going on here?

nb4 sd card is bad (still boots, bootanim works, can access decrypt9, etc.)

A busted SD card can still partially work. Try another, they're dirt cheap.

It's a sd card problem. Part of it has become corrupt so may want to switch to a Different one. I recommend the Samsung evo brand. Very reliable.

Actually that does make sense now that I think about it. If a sector containing part of the extdata is corrupt, I guess it would break the signiture and not allow any of it to load. Shit

If you want to investigate, there's a great linux/osx app called badblocks to test the SD card thoroughly...

Don't use bootanim9.
