Homebrew Migrating Pokemon Black 2.dsv save to ORAS

I've been out of the scene for a while, but I'd like to transfer my pokemon on my pb2 dsv file to either AS on my gateway or to my retail Y. Is there any way to do this?

My thought so far is that I will have to convert my dsv to a pokehex .pk6 file and then load that somehow.

Extract them with pokegen and inject them with PkHeX

Was looking into that but didn't see any posts about gateway? Is this just for CIA and retail editing?

JKSM Is what we are talking about right? When i put in my pokemon y retail it says "Error getting info for cart." And doesn't work with saves on the gateway it seems.

How to you extract them from pokegen? I load my dsv and select file -> save .pkm but after i reopen the file in pokegen it doesn't load anything but an abomasnow?

.pkm files contain only one pokemon. You probably didn't select the pokémon you wanted to save before saving it, and so the program saved the startup setup which is an Abomasnow (1st pokémon via alphabetical order).

Go check out some guides in forums to learn how to use Pokegen/PkHeX. Or mess with them for a while to learn how to use them.

Wish it were that simple. I'm not finding a good method of transferring black 2 saves from save to retail. I have a datel max and an R4 neither seem to have the appropriate homebrew.

Have you tried DS savegame manager or NDS Backup Tool Wifi (both may required a DS lite, not positive)?

Been a while since I looked into either. I'll have to check again. Going down the .dsv -> .sav -> pkhex route. Says it cant read my .sav right now. Using offline save file format converrter v2.6. Source: Desmume to what?

Supercard DSTWO and acekard i since both use .sav... no luck

Can anyone confirm pkhex 5/16/16 version actually works with the .sav feature. I'm clicking the SAV tab and it just keeps saying: Unable to recognize save file. Only valid G4/G5 saves supported.
Even though it loads in desmume just fine and I'm exporting out using desmume's export memory to .sav feature

don't forget for black/white/2 you also need to have cleared the game and use the transfer tool. just pokemon bank won't work which I think is really stupid of ninty to not implement but whatev

Be sure the save size is exactly 512KB, aka 0x80000
