No solution for that right now. It is slow because the SD card. You have to wait for USB Support.

Ok but why only these two games are slowly over 100 who work fine ?

It's not linked to the number of files, so what the link with the SD ?

thx and for mk8 ?

He's refering to the latest game update (v64). I'm still looking for a solution for the above issues too...

@emaueleBGN
I'm using a Class 10 SD with 64k Size. But have the same issues...

From what I've read, Mario 3D World is particularly slow because it has so many small files to read. Twilight Princess might be the same, idk. If you're desperate to play the game with reasonable loading times, your solution right now is to buy it. Either that or wait for IOSU and USB Loaders.

i think if we can unpack and repack all the .gz files with no compression, an improvement can be made with Zelda TP.

But someone with skill enough to make a batch script or something is needed, because there's too many to do individually.

Just a thought, but are there any un-needed files you could remove? The game would load faster.
What? If the files are unneeded, they aren't being loaded anyway. If they ARE being loaded, simply removing them would make the game error out.

Trim... sure. Make it load faster?

Supposedly language files being removed from starfox zero helped lower load times.

If I recall, removing all but one language, dropped the load time from 40mins to 10min. Then packing the language files into one of the data files dropped it to a normal time.

I've already bought them ! Now i'm selling them to get money for the NX ;)
And Mario is not the only one, for example :
Hyrule (7274 files) and Starfox (12375 files) run normally
But Mario with only 3053 files don't

So that's why i create this topic !!

May be for Zelda. Your plan is to decompress the all .gz in content/res and content/tex/particles to .pack ?
but for Mario in content/ObjectData ther are only .szs files

I did what rasputin and barak06 are commenting and the game won't load.
The result of changing the files is black screen.

Now let's clear some misinformation:

1. It doesn't matter how many small files the game has but how many it try to load for a sequence or a load complete.

2. USB support isn't the only hope for those.

3. We need some better file support from Loadiine. Like whole file type per game like ISO or WBFS (wii).

4. Star Fox Zero didn't remove language files from data cpk files, they were unpacked using different structure and back to data cpk. That's the reason it loads faster.

Also Fat32 4GB limitation won't be a problem. This was solved in the PS3 scene when DeanK added support for split ISO in Multiman.

Do you really wanna keep 25GB wud files for each game? I don't think the ISO method would be viable. You'd end up with massive overinflated Wii U library that won't even fit on your HDD.

The best way is to support installing NUS games directly to your system, this would allow you to install every single game on a single USB HDD. But this would require IOSU with a CFW.

No, i guess he was thinking about repacking extracted files in a new container.
This would result in one single file which won't be bigger than the extracted files
(actually it would be smaller, less overhead from the clustersize)
