I decided to post this as this is ridiculous. I have 2 different readers and 3 micro SD cards. One from my 3ds which works fine for A9lh an ect. Tried that bit games won't save, none will. Nothing can write to them while in Wii u. However 3ds can and my PC can. Any ideas? Is there some sort if permission I need for Wii u to write to it? Games do show up on loadiine and apps do work btw.

Oh also have my only normal SD card working (non microSD)

Those micro SD adaptar are a pain, sometimes depending on how you insert de adapter into the slot the lock button moves and let the card locket, other thing that you should try is to format the micro SD card with "Sd formatter" in my case this corrected the unmount issue problem, also depending on the game some people recomend using 32k or 64 k cluster size when you apply the format to the card ( I never tried but Bayonetta 2 some said it needs 64k to correct audio issues).
Micro sd cards and adapter always give me headache.

I'll try, thanks!, last time it was set to 8192 bytes which likely was the problem.

The 3DS and Wii U sometimes are a little picky with Micro SD Adaptors, you can try using another Micro SD Adaptor with that Micro SD.

Formated and doesn't save still. Nor download covers and anything else that may require to write to the sd card.

Erase the config file inside loadiine Folder, maybe the config file save path is directing to somewhere else, I mean this will reset loadiine default save directory.

The config file looks like this: loadiine_gx2.cfg

It can't even create a config file as it cannot create or write anything on SD Card.

Only have 2 of them, both which don't work, but do on my 3ds.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Hm, went on mii maker, saved mii as QR code and says card is write protected.

Then is the adapters, I had a SD card that when protected randomly, sometimes the Wii can't write and sometimes the PC, a hell of a card.

It's weird cause it works fine on my pc and 3ds, and running a cmd listing the attributes it says it isn't on read only.

The Wii U may need something more compatible. It does not accept SDHC/SD Cards from what I have heard which may be your problem.

For emulation could you perhaps use a USB Adapter? I know it sounds silly but it might just fix the problem.
no they support it. Even their support page shows a sdhc card

My bad let me just go in there, and remove that non sense :gba:. lol, certain SD Cards may only work with Wii U, same as Micro Adaptors, and such. Homebrew doesn't have a list of compatible Wii U items that work with mods which kind of sucks :/. I would recommend just experimenting with different Micro SD Cards, seeing which ones are compatible and such if you see any ones lying around.

One of my friends used a Micro" Kingston 4GB Card for the Wii U, and he was able to mod it fine. Atleast that was what he had told me.
