Is there anyway to get banned if I play a cia file online I installed to my n3ds with FBI? And does it have something to do with legit cias? Sorry I'm a n00b ;-;

No, I'm pretty sure cia's are safe to play online, as I do it all the time. Legit CIA means it is signed so you can launch it without a cfw

Am not really a pro inside of this but , in my opinion as long that you dont use hacks that are way too obvious among the online services of nintendo then your fine

You won't get banned. In fact, you can even download DLC/Updates to your CIA games from the eShop and they will still work just fine online.

Yeah the whole clean and legit CIA isn't really a fad its just convenient to redownload titles if you ever decide to.
Yes some may fail if they are not made right but nothing bad will happen
