So I'm in a really bad emotional conundrum.
I've been thinking about my ex a lot lately. Okay? It's ripping me apart.
BUT THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE
Okay, so to get my mind off of my ex (I lived with him and everything, we were the real deal), I decided to post a laptop on a local Facebook Buy/Swap/Sell. (Also I have been hacking my 3DS, because I usually feel good about hacking) Man... I posted this laptop on there. It's an ASUS K52F. However, it it's been upgraded from a 320GB HDD to 500GB HDD and from 3GB ram to 8GB ram.

I asked (Mind you I didn't do any research before posting, I just kind of threw out a price) for $325 OBO and even said trades welcome, but I said I wasn't including a charger and I wiped it clean so you'd need an OS. A 4gb ram, 320gb HDD (With only a BARELY better processor) version goes for $250 - 345. (Used - Refurbed)

IS THAT SO UNFAIR?

Within 10 minutes of posting I come back and it I had like 10 people comment on it telling me I'm some scammer, that I'm a rip-off, and a con and that I need to just give it away for free because it has "no resale value".
They were saying that "Well on Amazon at least it's not just some guy saying that it works" The fuck does that even mean? It's a buy/swap/sell page for used shit like yeah I said it works. It works.

Did these people know that's all they needed to do to make me like crazy more depressed?
Why the fuck do so many people feel the need to comment such nasty shit on something they had no business commenting on anyways? Jesus. Even if it was a price it shouldn't have been, ANYONE could have been polite about it.

unless there's something really rare or unique about the item, the monetary value of electronics depreciates at a ridiculously steep rate.

i honestly got no idea whether the computer is or isn't worth what you're asking. but you know how it works and so should everyone else. if somebody buys, then it's the right price. if nobody buys, then it's the wrong price and you lower it until somebody buys. unless you're making false claims, there's no call for people to post insulting replies.

it's just the "keyboard warrior" effect. don't worry about it and carry on.

This is so true. I'd normally be able to blow something like this off with ease but being in the state I am I just thought I was going crazy.

everyone likes free laptops or free stuff right?
but then there is loads of people that work for free stuff, what i mean with this?
they will try to force you and use loads of tricks in order to make you frustrated and lowball the price.

Monetary value isn't the only factor making someone want to trade. Not many would trade a console with an specific purpose for an old laptop without a charger and no OS.

This and unless it's got like a switchable gpu (which I don't think they did at this time for lappies) like a geforce gt 740m or some limited type of laptop.

But people will always low ball you and you got to stick to what you know and condition etc.

I mean tbh I have Windows 10 but it isn't what I'd call "legal". That's why I would wipe it beforehand.
