This essentially is a website where everyone on GBATemp can post their friendcodes which
would then be displayed in a free access database; enter your Name, FC and maybe GBATemp username, and then it will be recorded for anyone to search. Made for easy trade-ups.
(Please don't mind the domain name, I can't afford one)

Yes ofc, this is just for convenience in certain situations.
maybe you can add an option to each code
if that option is toggled (when submitting) it will be listed which people added you, so you can add back..
and it doesn't require a login or account in the website since when enable it agrees to show the people that added you public
but maybe it's kinda hard to implement, you require both users toggle that option on

Well yeah I don't know how to get that done sadly...

so instead of trading codes, we sign up here and tell the person to find us there? ok i guess
interesting

To post an FC here would mean opening the 3DS to check and then type it in, unless you have it in your sig or memorized. So if someone wants to add another, they could just tell the other to find him on the site essentially. I'm not sure how efficient this is, but the site exists, whether one wants to use it or not depends on him.

the layout could be something like this

list of users:

name: something
code: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (you can alternativaly censor it and just show after the person clicked to add into the guest list)
gbatemp's name: root admin
check-in\guest list

when you clicked there (in check in and guest list) you would present a page where you putted your name (that was previously shared on the database if possible)
and just below that prompt it would give you the list of users who "checked in"

this way, for example i could click on that button next to my friend code, see who added me and add them back easily

there was also the drawback of everyone would see everyone's else friends in the database, but like i said it would require an account system which is not needed and harder to implement

"Codebook" makes more sense to me than "Facecode" but whatever.
Does it support several FC though ? I don't think I find that option anywhere (at least before registering) and that would obviously be needed for people with several consoles.

Thanks, I'll try out some stuff.

I called it Facecode cause of "Facebook" hehe, but codebook has a nice ring to it. And you can add several FC's.
