Followed https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki to the T, up to Part 3 RedNAND #26, where it says when you see "Emu" in the version, go Update(it said Emu Ver. 9.2). I went and updated via other settings, System Update, now Im on 10.7 but in system settings it just says Ver. 10.7 , am I screwed? tried booting into HBL using D-Pad Down, nothing. browserhax is also not working says some error on a white page I cant read (tiny text)

So, I've been using this guide to downgrade and I ended up with a partial downgrade, got an error during install, system shows 9.2 but that's all, everything is still fully operational but PlaiSysUpdater just doesn't want to downgrade again, it says downgrading okay, that's all.

In the end, I have a partial downgrade and did way too many research and ended up with way too much information on what I can and can't do so I'd like a fresh idea on what I could do to install 9.2 safely.

You probably updated your sysnand. You need to downgrade and try again.

how do you update from here(system settings) because I clearly went RedNAND > System Settings > Saw "Emu" > Other Settings > 2nd Last item > System Update.
and was screwed over.

You're supposed to update it like that but I'm not sure what you did wrong.

Edit: Are you sure your NANDs were unlinked before updating EmuNand?

As for the difference between AuReiNand/Luma3DS and ReiNand
The former has some additional features compared to the latter which you read in its official thread.

I believe you should choose AuReiNand/Luma3DS

Follow this guide to get Arm9loaderhax set up. You can use Cubic Ninja to set it up, but you don't need to; you can use the browser instead.

OTP is the One-Time Pad. It is a region of data that is believed to hold the 3DS's console-unique keys. This is used to decrypt some data on the 3DS and allow you to exploit part of the FIRM partition of the 3DS's NAND. This causes the exploit to be launched before sysNAND is loaded, giving you a 100% CFW bootrate and the ability to restore from bricks without a hardmod.

Cakes is also an option for CFW and also what I personally use. It's ultimately up to you on what to use.

ReiNAND is a fairly old CFW developed by Reisyukaku. It was originally an N3DS only CFW and was the first CFW to bypass(?) the N3DS's new encryption keys. AuReiNAND (now Luma) is a modified version of ReiNAND made to work with the O3DS (ReiNAND can now support the O3DS as well; it couldn't at the time AuReiNAND was created though) made by Aurora Wright. ReiNAND is quite simple and easy to use, while Luma has a lot more configuration options. It'd probably be easier to look at the GitHub/GBAtemp pages for each CFW to read about their features.

there is no unlink step in that guide. I remember doing that on my old O3DS, but I sold that ages ago. just getting back into 3DS and these new steps are very similar. just this update part is was screwed me up even though I did it right. assumed you dont need to unlink with this new Arm9 and RedNAND.

No. Unless you were doing something completely obvious that made you look like you were using cheats or anything that'd flag you, you're fine and that'd only be for online games. Basically, play the game normally and you won't be banned.

1. Open Luma3DS
2. Activate "Show current NAND in System Settings"
3. Press Start to boot RedNAND (you must launch Luma3DS from the Homebrew Launcher every time you want to boot RedNAND)
4. If you boot into the home menu, you have successfully launched RedNAND
5. Reboot into SysNAND and get into the Homebrew Launcher through the entrypoint of your choice (menuhax will always launch the Homebrew Launcher from SysNAND)
6. Open TinyFormat
7. Press Y to format your SysNAND (Don't worry, everything is still saved on RedNAND)
8. Go through initial setup without linking your Nintendo Network ID, you want it to remain linked only to RedNAND to prevent issues
9. Reinstall menuhax on SysNAND as the format will have removed it
10. Boot RedNAND
11. Open System Settings
12. If you do not see "Emu" in front of the version number, then you are not on RedNAND. DO NOT UPDATE, FIND WHAT WENT WRONG
13. Update your RedNAND to the latest version using system settings

I am just scared if i did something wrong [emoji22].

You should be fine as long as you haven't actually linked your NNID.

You do not need to link your NNID after updating your RedNAND in part 3. You will only need to link your NNID at the very end of the guide.

Ok...Im not trying to be dumb. but all I see is the Word "link" but its use is to just inform the reader that they should Link their Nintendo ID to RedNAND. not SysNAND, which the "Initial Setup" would do if you set up internet settings.
I too, see the word Link, but it never says "Oh hey, dont forget to Unlink SysNAND from RedNAND"
in the Old method there was clearly a step that said, its smarter to unlink the NANDs...but for RedNAND it does not.

I clearly followed the steps.
I hope I'm not coming off as angry or anything, I'm just trying to point out you guys are defending something that isnt there...
