Hacking Sky3DS+ v112 not working with the "New 3DS XL" fw 10.7.0-32u

It works with my normal launch 3DS fw 10.7.0-32u (currently newest) but when I insert Sky3DS+ card to my New 3DS XL with the same fw 10.7.0-32u and nothing happened.

It seems the New 3DS XL can't read the Sky3DS+ card, it didn't even create the "settings" file when I first insert the card to it while my normal launch 3DS worked as guided and created the "settings" file.

I formatted 2 microSD cards Sandisk and Toshiba, 32 and 16GB using SDFormatter v4, both of them took 2 hours to finish the format process and both work with my launch mini 3DS but still no luck with the "New 3DS XL" (tested with factory reset).

I don't really know if the Sky3DS+ currently is working with the "New 3DS XL" fw 10.7.0-32u or not. It's true that it works with fw 10.7.0-32u for the normal 3DS but I still haven't seen any youtube video testing with the "New 3DS XL".

My "New 3DS XL" still reads game cards fine, tested with Pokemon X, FE Awake, Miku Mirai, Pokemon White 1/2". It also still haven't banned from eshop, I still download demo from eshop normally.

Now I don't really know if my Sky3DS+ card is fake or the problem is in the New 3DS XL. Both of them are made in China.

My first thought would be the SD card since mine is very very picky with SD cards, and my second thought would be the ROM is the wrong region, but if it works in your O3DS on the same FW from the same region, I can't imagine either of those are the problem. And being banned or not shouldn't make a difference.

What happens when you put the card in? do lights flash? What color? Have you tried putting in the card and taking it out a few times? When you put it in, have you tried kind of pusjing it in and holding it? Perhaps it's a connection problem.

The Sky3DS+ showed green flash when inserting to the normal 3DS but didn't flash any light when inserting to the new 3DS, tested with both 2 microSD card. I tried push the card all the way to the new 3DS XL but still haven't seen it flashes any light. May be connection problem but I still don't understand how it still work fine with the normal 3DS (game appears instantly after inserting and switching between games with no problem). The new 3DS XL still reads official game cards normally.

Yeah, it is strange. The lights not coming on at all suggests a connection problem, though. When I've had a bad ROM or a bad SD card it's flashed different colors like blue or red.

Maybe try putting it in with a piece of folded paper on top to help push the connectors down? That helped me with an R4 in my N3DS. But, honestly, a Sky3DS+ shouldn't need that.

I tried as you suggested by but it still hasn't recognized the card, it's like the new 3DS XL knows that it shouldn't read this card no matter what.

Every roms I tried with the normal 3DS worked fine (from MonHun to FE Fate Special edition, Pokemon, Bravely Second, I heard these games are real test for the Sky3DS+), even Xenoblade showed the icon (but I didn't dare to launch it)...

Nothing bad will happen if you try to launch it! It will just tell you it is only for N3DS.

If the lights aren't coming on, it doesn't really matter what ROMs are on it. It's not reading the card. It's not even getting power it seems.

You're sure that the moment you put in the card there are no lights coming on at all, right?

Yes, I checked it many times, no lights at all when inserting to the new 3DS XL, flash 1 green light when inserting to the normal 3DS

I have no idea then. Do you have a friend with a N3DS you can try it on? It doesn't even matter the region. The lights should flash regardless.

I don't have any friend with a handheld consoles these days. It's lucky that I still keep the normal 3DS.

I'm not sure what to say about your Sky3DS+ card, but it could be faulty. Perhaps you could try hacking via Ocarina of Time? It might be difficult if both of your systems are 10.6+ firmware, though.

I'm not sure what to say about your Sky3DS+ card, but it could be faulty. Perhaps you could try hacking via Ocarina of Time? It might be difficult if both of your systems are 10.6+ firmware, though.

In the beginning, I formatted the microsd card with the format tool available with windows, just set it to FAT32, 64kb, and fast format. Because it didn't work with the New 3DSXL (still worked fine with the normal 3DS), I had to use SDFormatter to format these microsd card, I've never used the slow format option before, so I surprised it took that long to format a card (usually, fast format work fine on other devices these days) but everyone seems recommend using the slow format and SDFormatter because to make sure it will have maximum compatibility with Sky3DS+.

I ordered these microSD from a local official distributor, they worked fine from camera to phone, even the normal 3DS, haven't had any problem with them.

Both my 3DS are 10.7. I really don't want to hack these handheld using exploits if possible (exploit bubble for PS Vita seems to be a nightmare just from reading it), so I chose Sky3DS+ because it's the easiest.

Seems weird to me as well. I generally use GW emunand. For my Sky3ds+ to show any game, I need to put it in, then open and close the rom selection menu. Then the sky works...

(Why did I buy a Sky3ds+ if I have a Gateway? Because I like having toys. I want every THING and every GAME that can be used to hack a 3ds. I own a GW, DSTwo Plus, OOT cart, CN cart, Ironfall... but I'm tired of buying games.). I also hard-modded my o3ds and n3ds myself (and it shows... but I'm still proud of me )
