So, quick question i can't seem to find a definite answer for
I have a New 3DS XL with 10.7 a9lh Luma3DS
What i would like to know is, is it safe to use the Format System Memory option to remove the NNID, and if so, will i still have FBI to be able to reinstall some CIAs?

2. those cfw should be used even if on an o3ds as rxtools is outdated. also it does work on n3ds just takes more work.

Wgy should I use them? With Rxtools I have everything I need: Cia installing, NTR and region free patcher. Why "waste" time for other CFW that can do more things I probably won't use?

Because RxTools is literally outdated and is most likely inefficient.

The ones I have listed actually have less features than RxTools, but they offer region free and Cia Installing.

you can use ntr with the others, luma has built in region free(not sure about reinand), and you can do cia installing on the other cfw also. rxtools is old and outdated and the last commit it had removed the tools it had. people shouldnt use the tools anyways as they can fragment the nand.

Tried to change my theme using chmm2 and it prevented my reinand from booting (freezes up when selected, force hard reset) but put the theme on sysnand, what happened and how can I fix this?
Sounds like your nands are either linked or if you launched chmm2 from hbl it may have been you sysnand.

Used menuhax to reset the boot keys, still wouldn't load reinand. Turned off the console for a bit, came back, booted reinand with old theme and sysnand now no longer has the new theme. Now Im even more confused.

Follow a proper guide and you will be fine. The downgraders have been made so that if it does error you will be able to recover

which guide is the easiest to understand. the part I don't understand is where you need to launch homebrew to do the downgrade. do you run the homebrew through the web?
thanks

You can launch the homebrew menu from a few diff things. One of them is the browser and is prob the easiest for beginners
