No. They couldn't. It's only 19 mb...
Also pretty pointless with other guides which have all downloads linked.
3. You will also need the file "slot0x25keyx.bin", as well as the 9.2.0 firmware pack related to your region (E, U or J) and your 3DS (Old/New.) These are illegal to distribute; you'ill have to find them yourself. Once you find them, copy "slot0x25keyx.bin" to the root of your SD card and the firmware pack to the "updates" folder of your SD card.

I can't, in good conscience, say that I entirely like the idea of anyone else "creating" (I'll get back to that) an alternative to something as sensitive as The Guide unless they fully understand the responsibility that comes with constantly maintaining it.

If this guide alternative is not perfect in both design and execution, people will brick.

Additionally, I don't entirely understand the purpose for this alternative. If it offered something extra that mine did not, then that'd be fine, but right now it looks like it uses the exact same procedure, except formatted differently.

This brings me to the final concern I have regarding this guide alternative, and it is perhaps the one that bothers me the most.
This guide appears to be a more limited, less informative, nearly exact copy+paste of my Guide with nothing but minor edits and formatting changes.

I'm not going to invoke Copyright or start throwing around DMCA takedowns just yet, but you must understand that The Guide is the culmination of hundreds of hours of constant effort on my part, and is not licensed in a way that allows anyone to just copy and paste it into a text file and call it their own (and saying I made the "original" one does not do justice just how little you changed).

I could, of course, overlook this pretty easy copyright violation (as I honestly dislike everything WIPO stands for, but it can be necessary sometimes) if I felt like this guide alternative was substantially different or made significant changes, but it just isn't and hasn't.

Don't get me wrong, I like what you're trying to do, but I would recommend you remove this and take a long consideration of just what you're getting into. If, after that, you still want to continue with this, I implore you to consider options that include more of your writing and less of my writing.

PS: I didn't create the guide alone (just wrote it), and many people you didn't mention deserve credits for their efforts in making it a reality.

PPS: Yes I see the parallels between my and Relys' squable from before (since I know someone will bring it up), but the difference here is that this guide alternative didn't really change anything, while my fork of Relys' project changed core functionality.

Both of the guides suck. No pictures!
there is one part in plailect's guide a picture makes sense and that is the root directory of the sd after the whole process. i remember there was one when i used it...
plailect's guide is perfect, no need for anything else. all the downloads are in it.
i don't see a reason for a pack of all legal files. you still need to look for the "illegal" ones and that pack will probably contain files you won't need.
your intentions may be good but you should really think about taking down this guide!

How could one possibly convey where to move files using pictures? Do you not know how to read?

Pictures make for a more professional experience. This all text garbage is reminiscent of the early 90's along with other lazy authors.

pictures are often just stupid, feck we need video's.....actually video's are stupid we need live 1 on 1 demonstrations and twitch steams :creep:

but i can totally understand what the OP is trying to do with many files seemingly pointlessly split up it (in particular the key and firm files that will not really be changed) would be nice to just have "download this pack" extract on SD, while some things i.e the CFW which is constantly receiving updates may be a separate download so people always get the latest i think most of the tools at this point are pretty much hammered down and its probably time for the download packs to be merged instead of download this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this

again i know why it was the case originally when the process was changing/evolving every day but it does seem a bit of a slog opening up like 10 download links for the sake of 100mbs worth of files (well actually 1 of those link is like 90mb, the other 9 downloads are for tiny files like each individual 1KB key file being split up for whatever reason)

What we really need is a ModMii for 3DS. Something that downloads all the tools and files needed and always downloads the latest ones available, and presents users with a tailor-made guide based on what firmware version they have, what CFW they want to use, whether to install a9lh etc.
