Derp, I didn't even look closely what exactly that patch's doing, my bad.
There's no problems to have fully updated system now, so I almost forgot about eShop spoofing.
If patch does nothing but that, what's the point of enabling it on systems with latest firmware then?
Accessing eShop on 9.0 NANDs and stuff like that, for people who need to get their DSiWare/GBA to play on SysNAND.

I understand that.
That's why I think it's better to have it optional, rather than have it disabled completely or enabled for everyone.
But yeah, CFW already have enough options in menu, so I don't know… ^^

Hi there, I currently using menuhax and ctrbootmanager to load up rxtools emunand. I want to upgrade to luma3ds, but I read in the wiki there is some issues with boot managers and it can be fixed with the "pathchanger", but it is not clear how it can fix the issues.
Thanks.

This may be a dumb question, idk, but I can't seem to figure out if I need to do that compiling jazz that's on the front page of the Luma3DS github. If I am updating from an older version of AuReiNAND, do I do that stuff, or just do the installations and update part of the wiki?

What? The patch doesn't disable updates, it just makes eShop think the console is always up-to-date.

Booting with R exists for a reason...

You are indeed exactly right, I just tried it and misread you can't boot 9.x with 10.x firmware, and also the opposite statement, which actually is not true.

So, for those wondering ,acoording to this https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Options-and-usage

The option Use SysNAND FIRM as default (A9LH-only) off will boot (with R pressed) 9.x sysnand with a 10.x firmware, and signature patches enabled, thus obsoleting my request.
Never realised it did that, thanks (and I tried many combinations ,apparently only the wrong ones though)!

Iirc, the parhchanger is only for people with A9LH and bootmanager. You just have to put the .dat file and luma folder in your sd card, then config your boot.cfg to launch the dat file.

Thanks, they should make the wiki more clear.

well, it doesnt seem to work with serial codes, though.

actually, my bad, using HANS won't let you do anything online as it doesn't allow the use of your update data... so using Luma3ds's region emulation is your only choice either that or the NTR plugin.

I recieved shiny xerneas sucessfully just now.

simple create the file /luma/locales/000400000011C400.txt for Omega Ruby or 000400000011C500.txt for Alpha Saphire then inside put ONLY "KOR KO" without the quotes.

Yeah, I realized by now that you can not get the three pokemon (Xerxes, yveltal and zygarde) with pokemon x and y but only ORAS. Now thanks to Luma I have two shiny xerneas, yveltal and two regular Zygarde. Works without a hitch, now we just need a way to edit those text files on the fly from the 3DS itself.

Thanks, I like how we have the chance to get out of region Pokemon events using language patch,
But then we have to ''edit'' out of region Pokemon's country origin to set in Korea or Japan for legality.
