Hello everyone! I have a Wii that is too new to install bootmii as boot2 ): and I don't want to deal with priiloader but I wanted to install wads. I was paranoid to install them without any brick protection (and I should be) but I made this tutorial that should make it easy for anyone to test out wads without brick protection (but don't, It's still a bad idea.) I introduce to you my new method:
BannerNope! (lol)
This method does require that you haven't installed the wad yet or that you have but haven't exited homebrew yet. (it's also just a theory so far, but I would love someone *with brick protection just in case* to try it out!)
**NOTE*** This is more of a brick prevention (sort of) beforehand then afterwards. If your system menu is already corrupted, sorry!
Requierments:
-An SD card (sdhc works on 4.3 and stuff)
-A wii (duh)
-USB Loader GX
-A cIOS (for usb loader gx)
-Anytitle Deleter
-A wad installer (use MMM for best results)
How to do it:
1. Install the wad (whether it's a bad or good one)
2. Exit TO THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL
3. Open usb loader gx
4. Select the option to show nand channels
5. Find the one you installed
(this is the part that needs testing)
6. If the channel is blank but the name is there, it is a BAD wad. If everything is normal about it, you're good to go!
If the wad is bad:
7. Exit TO HOMEBREW CHANNEL
8. Open anytitle deleter
9. Delete the channel
10. Exit to system menu, all done!
Please, test it out! Let me know the results! Does it work? Or not?
