The movies/series streaming service is now available on the Xbox One and is offering a free trial offer is for new customers only.

Note that HBO NOW is only accessible through participating partners in the U.S. and certain U.S. territories.

Looks like this landed just in time for Game of Thrones fans.

*Insert joke about TV TV TV here* :^)

On a serious note though, good. People watch HBO on anything from their TV's to their phones, if the console can push a feature then it definitely should, especially if it goes in-line with its multimedia focus. I treat consoles as all-encompassing multimedia hubs these days, I probably watch YT on my PS4 about as much as I game on it, it's just so convenient, especially with a paired YT app to use as a remote.

Definitely a step closer to making video game consoles an all-in-one multimedia device, which seems to be the direction video game companies seem to be veering towards.

And rightfully so. The only reason why I have multiple things connected to my TV is because I have multiple consoles. I don't want any excess junk on my shelves - if the console can do the same thing as another appliance, it should have an app that does it.
