Hacking New 3DS XL on 9.6.0-24. Transfer data from a CFW 3DS?

Hello! Just recently, I have acquired a N3DS XL. I would like to transfer all my data from my already hacked N3DS. (Hopefully including everything in the EmuNAND aswell.) As the title says, it's on 9.6.0, but I don't know all of what I could do on that FW version. My plan is to get all the data transferred to the newest system, and use the older one to screw around with. Any help and ideas are appreciated.
My current N3DS is on 9.2 SysNAND, with 10.7 ReiNAND + NTR.

you either have to update the sysnand to 10.7 or get a cfw workingnwith a 10.7 emunand. afaik, you have to downgrade to 9.2 for this, but i could be wrong.

I am in a similar situation with a friends 3DS, what I am going to try is this:

1. Install CFW on the New 3DS using a clean system (No CIA's installed, only FBI injected to H&S)
   
2. Update both 3DS's Emunand to latest firm
3. Backup Old 3DS's "Nintendo 3DS" folder
   
4. Initiate System Transfer from Old 3DS Emunand to New 3DS Emunand
   
5. Backup New 3DS's "Nintendo 3DS" folder
   
6. When finished attempt to restore the old "Nintendo 3DS" folder contents to the New 3DS "Nintendo 3DS" folder (will have to use profile subfolder of course)
7. Attempt to rebuild New 3DS Software Database

From what I gathered online that should work, unfortunately I won't be able to test it until next week when I see my friend, but maybe this will help you.

Oh yeah A9LH. Might as well since it's a new console. Though, as I said above, I need to find my bigger microSD first.

I'm having problems downgrading it. At first, I used the downgrader in the A9LH guide, but it errored. I updated the system, and used the new sysupdater. Now, when I turn it on, it doesn't properly load the home menu with the SD card in. The screens light up, but stay black and the LEDs turn on, and I can access the sleep mode notifier by hitting the power button. I'm going to try again to see if maybe something went wrong with downgrading. Any ideas on what I could do if it doesn't work again?

I tried that, but it yielded the same results as before. Sysupdater didn't install anything new, and just told me to reboot the system. (I'm assuming that's normal for something like this.) I could keep trying and see it it'll work one time.

If the Downgrade didn't finish you may have a partial downgrade, if that's the case you need to downgrade again. If I understand you correctly you already attemped to Downgrade a second time and it didn't seem to install anything, if that's the case you already downgraded properly.
It's common for the 3ds to not boot with the SD on after the downgrade. Launch MenuHax installer, select delete and after that reinstall it again. That fixed it for me last time.
EDIT: I should note I wrote that assuming you are downgrading to 9.2 and not 2.1.

Read and reread before going in and doing the A9LH tutorial.

It's a long tedious process - I'm about to downgrade to 2.1 for the 3rd time (3 different 3DSes), and I swear I'm going to go super saiyan on things...

I decided to go the Menuhax/CFW path instead of A9LH, and now when I try to load the Emunand9.3dsx after booting into Rei, it just goes back to the boot manager. Decrypt9 does the same, and FBI won't load at all. (I don't think the 3dsx version works in emunands, but I'm not 100% sure.) I'm following this tutorial, which worked flawlessly for me in the past. I'm confused because I've tried re-doing the tutorial, which didn't help anything. If anyone has ideas, please let me know.

Yes, it appears neither Decrypt9 nor EmuNAND9 boot inside EmuNAND. FBI should boot but I had no sucess with the latest versions, only with the last 1.x version. To launch EmuNAND delete the boot.cfg in your SD and when turning of your 3DS press L to launch Homebrew Launcher. If you already have AuReiNand installed, there's a button to press at boot to open EmuNAND9 and another for Decrypt9 on the latest releases. But I don't know which exactly.

Alright. I think I've realized what I've been doing wrong. I was trying to use Decrypt9 on EmuNAND, even though it works on SysNAND. I'm glad I decided to not do A9LH since I'm so scatterbrained today. I got the 1.x version of FBI, and I'm going to inject it to H&S shortly.
