Hi Guys,

Im planning to sell my WiiU to a shop. In order to do that i need to remove all softmods i did to the vWii. But i have no idea how to do that. I just need to remove every trace of homebrew that is visible for the average User. They won`t check the inner System and IOS`es and so on. I just need to remove the Channels and everything that is visible in normal system menu. Can somebody please explain to me how i can do that, please? That would be so nice. I just installed the Homebrew Channel, SnesX emulator Channel, and CFG Loader Channel. How can i delete them?

On top of that can somebody please explain how to set the WiiU to virgin settings? Removing Account Data etc? Resetting it fully?

Thanks for your help!

Do you still have the .wad files? I no this isn't the easiest way but if you put the wad files back on your sd and go into a wad manager, instead of clicking install there will be an uninstall or remove option that might work. Or use any title deleter (if it works for vwii) and try to figure out what's what, but that can get complicated fast

I wouldn't use any title deleter until someone comes in here and confirms that 1. It works on vwii and 2. They know the title id of the files you want to delete. I think any title deleter might be able to brick your vwii so please be careful and wait for someone else to help

Okay thank you for your help i will wait. Never thought deleting could be so difficult. :hateit:
May I ask, why do you even want to delete the hacks? The shop doesn't buy a hacked WiiU? Wouldn't it be a plus for the future buyer? If it's the shop making difficulties, I would sell it directly to another person through classified ads on the web.

This shop is selling games, too. So they plan to sell my console afterwards and of course they want to sell as many games as they can to their customers. A console which is able to play pirated games would cut their own possible sells. So the shop member told me that they wont buy hacked consoles. They just buy consoles if they are fully working and not modified. They wont look deep in the system (IOS etc). But they WILL turn it on, try it out and see if it has an USB Loader installed or not.

Can't you just uninstall the Homebrew Channel? No one is really going to look THAT much into it, are they?

So yes, they won`t look THAT much into the system itself. Its just important to delete the homebrew Channel, the SnesX, and the USB Loader. But i even dont know how to delete the homebrew Channel :( Do you? I really dont care if i leave traces in the system itself, just want to delete the channels. But don`t know how

The shop has a special offer which guarantees a lot more money than i would get for selling it myself. On top of that it isnt that easy to find someone who wants to buy it. So the shop is definetly my best option. In case i can manage to remove the channels of course

4gionz is probably right, your best solution would be Any Title Deleter. But this is a wii app, and I'm not positive it works for vWii. The results could be catastrophic if it's not compatible. And you have to know how to use it too, if it even works. Time to do some online research and ask questions to knowledgeable people.

Edit: (also mentioned by 4gionz), it might also be worth it for you to track down the wads you used to install the channels. If you find them, just running them again through the wad installer will give you the option to uninstall.

Keep it simple. Delete the homebrew channel on vwii. Done. They won't know how to check iOS files.

Yes they wont check the IOS files. But HOW can i delete the homebrew channel? And will deleting the Homebrew Channel also delte the CFG Loader channel? How to delete that. I dont care about the IOS. Just want to delete the channels. Can you tell me how?

Just go into your vwii settings. You can delete custom channels easy in there.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I just didn`t knew that it was possible to delete channels via the normal vWii channels. Guess I`m a softmodding Noob :D Thank you. I will delete them and my problem will be solved. Thank you!:toot:

DO NOT USE TITLE DELETER ON VWII! It semi-bricked my vWii and would let me get into the official Channel manager in system settings. The only thing that fixed it was running YAWWN. I'm not really sure what I did to fix it but The WiiU would freeze whenever I tried to go into the official channel deleter
