Hacking Being on emunand 9.2 is safe to install any cia?

So I'm just learning how to do all this and I ran pasta and have emunand at 9.2 with fbi install but will it be ok to install any cia as long as it's not bad? Is there anyway I can make sure the signature check thing is disable? How would I update games without updating the system? What could cause my 3ds to brick like would installing a bad cia cause brick?

If u unlinked your NANDs, so yeah, cause the emuNAND is located in a hidden partition in your SD card, and it is not in your actual NAND chip, so basically yeah, u should be fine
so if u even did brick your emuNAND, just reformat it through emuNAND9 or gateway and thats it...

How do I unlinked it? is that part of the pasta app that I did? I tried following this topic https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...luding-emunand-coldboot-cia-installer.405589/ but couldn't get AuReiNand part to work, so when I run it it takes me to the emunand menu and thats how I get there using the internet browser to get to hombrew. What is AuReiNand for I don't really get it.

OK but the whole otp and arm9loaderhax stuff is pretty much extra right? I mean I could have aureinand to boot the emunand and install cias in there without a problem right? I mean I get it will load slower and I will always have to go threw hombrew to get to the emunand.

yeah its extra, but recommended, as its brick protection and all that.
If you want, you can just follow the first half of the guide

OH sorry but could someone please answer this. Some games I have need updates but can't find cia versions of them would it be safe to update emunand so I can access eshop or is there any other way? This are not legit cias so I don't understand if they won't work out of 9.2?

if you are completely sure you are in emunand, you can update.

Pasta is sysNAND, not emuNAND. You need AuReiNAND/ReiNAND, Cakes or rxTools to get emuNAND (rxTools is obsolete though)

Might as well correct you a bit. You are right in saying that pasta is a cfw for sysNAND, but "it has no emuNAND" is... wrong? It's hard to explain, but you can use pasta with an emuNAND partition on your sd card. It just won't load emuNAND b/c it's for sysNAND. Cfw does not equal emuNAND they're two different things. And no cfw "has" an emunand.
