What version of WiiFlow and what cIOS do you have installed? Make sure you have force cIOS turned on and set it to one you have installed.

WM+ works fine with homebrew as long as it was compiled with the later libogc. Earlier apps require an old remote or recompiling.

when I boot up a game, it sends me back to the home menu... and can I use a wii remote plus with any homebrew? if so, how can I?
make sure you have the bins folder with app_booter.bin, ext_booter.bin, and ext_loader.bin. it should be in your apps/wiiflow folder.

I don't have an ext_loader.bin... what do I need to do to solve that?
you might be using an older version of wiiflow. what version are you using? r1054?

r1054 doesn't need that file. r1076 does need it. but first what version are you using - goto the home menu to find out.

I meant, how can the wii tell if I'm using a usb stick or a hhd? it should be able to load games just the same... I load gamecube games on it for nintendont and it runs fine..
Oh well it's just the way it works I read it in multiple places it's less of the woo and more of the loader not supporting it I'm guessing

ATA identification. The same way that Windows can tell if it's a fixed or removable drive.

Many flash drives just don't work right on homebrew. They just don't support a complete USB and ATA protocol.
