Check the "Nintendo 3DS" folder on your SD

If there are 2 folders, your NANDS are unlinked.

Setup a theme. If sysnand and emunand have the same, then your nands are linked.

Weird...
If your nands are linked, that means that if you install an app in emunand, you will see it in sysnand, and vice versa.

Check the "3ds" folder on your SD

So maybe your nands are unlinked. To be sure:
-try to install a gba game into emunand (not the sysnand). If you get "an error has occurred ..." then your nands are unlinked!!
-Change the theme (if you see it only on the nand you install it, then there are unlinked)
-Install a cia (if you see it only on the nand you install it, then there are unlinked)

yes, every .cia I install is ONLY on the emunand. still, when I change a theme in emunand, it does not boot into emunand anymore. I guess that is has something to do with menuhax?!

Do you install the theme with chmm2 in emunand?

I just want to use a basic pre-installed theme and I read that changing the theme kills menuhax.

You don't need menuhax on emunand, so yeah kill it by installing a basic theme!
To have homebrews on emunand, use the homebrew launcher cia!

I guess it boots "menuhax ---> ctrbootmanager--->reinand". that is the problem. when I kill menuxhax by changing the theme, CFW does not boot anymore...

But if your nands are unlinked, changing the theme in emunand will keep menuhax on sysnand.

You can change theme in sysnand and keep menuhax by using menuhax installer. On emunand, just use chmm2 (and be sure to unistall menuhax)

Yes. Using the official way (home menu icon-> theme-> install the theme you want)
