What is the accuracy like on this new version? Is it a substantial improvement over the matguitarist mods because those were still a long way behind PC emulation.

I can't believe the Wii is still being worked on when it comes to emulators.

If the N64 and PS1 emulation on it were a *bit* better I think the Wii would be the best emulation console. (As far as I remember from owning a hacked PS3 for like a month right at the start, the emulators were good, but not "great").

Heck, all the n3DS needs to beat the PSP with no arguments is PS1 Emulation that's good. GBA suffers a tad on PSP and SNES has issues with some games. (Yoshi's Island, DKC2 and 3, Starfox, Special Chipped Games) and the 3DS fixes those, but PSP having PS1 and "Okay" emulation of GBA and SNES make it hard to beat.

Anyway, enough rambling. I'm hoping to see this improve. Playing Breath of Fire 3 was a pretty good experience on the last official version.

Agreed
IMO, Wii is the best emulation console because he does 224/240p video mode (resolution of retro systems)

One problem I've always had with Wii64/WiiSX/Not64 was that I was never able to save anything. That is the only reason why I didn't get a classic controller to use them.

Hmm. That's odd. I believe you had to manually make the save paths. But I know for a fact when I went through Breath of Fire 3 that it saved to memcard because I didn't use savestates.

I liked my original xbox better than Wii when it came to a media center/emulation console (XBMC+Emulators) but that's just my opinion. I have both still. the emulators were really well done for both systems. but when it came to n64 I preferred my original xbox with Surreal 64 at the time. ( beat Diddy kong, mario 64,banjo kazooie) with some minor graphical glitches here n there but I haven't tried n64 emulation on a wii in years. now that there is "not64" which probably blows surreal 64 out of the water? I just gotta try it out and see. its been sitting on my wii SD card for awhile I just never tried it.
(I'd like to have seen surreal 64 make it to 360/jtag.)

sorry I went off topic. but I agree it's awesome to see old consoles still getting some love :).

Going off my memory, I remember the Newest Not64 being generally pretty good, but I remember the Xbox N64 emulator my friend had I think had some games perform better in the fact that there were no graphical glitches. (I think Diddy Kong Racing on Not 64 had Seizure Water but not on the Xbox N64 emulator?) But I think speed wise Not 64 was better in more parts. I can't honestly say I remember too well! It's been a very long time I've used either system for emulation of N64 or Ps1 Lol.

I find it hilarious that emulators for one company's older product can do better on a rival's product than the firsts new product.

Im all for seeing this completed. I just got the red wii (had the white one but white/black consoles are bland) and have been playin around with it for a while. Good to see this happen

Development for this emu is slow, but steady. I hope it continues for many years to come, the 2D games i have tested play great on the Wii!

I have one issue with this emulator. I've noticed certain RPG games like Tales of Destiny, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, and Tales of Phantasia (ENG patched) all have one issue in common; the emulator hangs when it first loads a voice clip and it goes through every voice clip in that game. Will there ever be a fix for this? I can play Chrono Cross just fine since there's no voice files. (As far as I know)

The emulator is still in the very early stages, ADSR, reverb, XA-AUDIO, etc are still unimplemented, so a lot of games are gonna break until they're fixed.

Thanks for replying! I hope these get implemented in the future since a few games I play are at full speed for the most part.
