How to make Splatoon USA/EUR wud compatible to JPN consoles
1. Go to content/Font rename BmpFont_EU.szs to BmpFont_JP.szs
2. Go to content/Message rename the ff. files:
CommonMsg_EUen.szs
LayoutMsg_EUen.szs
Revision_EUen.txt
replace EUen to JPja
3. Go to content/System edit these files
RomType.xml
copy this:

Or you could download update files for the JP title and use the Font and Message ones since I know they're in there if you download the latest update. I don't know if System is included tho :\ It is on US title

Oh, I see what you're saying, that would make more sense. If you're going for English on a console from a different region then you wanna just rename the files like in OP

Ok, did you rename the files correctly?
what version of Loadiine GX2 are you using? (should be 0.2)
try using my
SupportRegionLang.txt & RomType.xml

If these files don't work you probably got a bad dump or corrupted DATA
