So, as the tittle says, can someone Break this down for me?

I have read and as example, there are different versions of those files, and the state that they can be installed on sysnand and some others on emunand... so.. just o break it down in a couple of questions, and please keep your answer simple, don't need anything technical, just a logical explanation as example, what does it do, and where does it go.

So:

What is AGB_FIRM-PatchedV1-0004013800000202 for?

Does it go installed on Sysnand or Emunand?

What is TWL_FIRM-2.0-0004013800000102 for?

Does it go installed on Sysnand or Emunand?

What is the difference between TWL_FIRM-2.0-0004013800000102 and - TWL_FIRM-4.0-0004013800000102?

Pretty much what you wrote. Everything is for a O3DS.

AGB_Firm patched is a patched version of AGB for the O3DS.

TWLFIRM, there were a few revsions, assuming though you're looking at the 2.0.0-X and 4.0.X-X releases of them.

Though I don't understand your end goal. You can install them anywhere you wish. Though with the recent advancements of CFW, AuRei/Cakes can patch them for you. So you can just keep the original system titles anyway.

If you have unlinked NANDS, they'll have to be installed in both. Unless you prefer booting sysNAND for your GBA/TWL needs.

And what is its purpose? i mean if CFW can play already GBA games when installing to Nand and Emunand on unlinked nands.

Whats the purpose of TWLFIRM? what does it do? and what are the differences between version 2 and version 4? any advantages?

I'm using an old version of AuReinand ATM, probably updating today after work, ill read the recent changes on AuReinand.

I Do have unlinked nands. but i dont quite understand what could be a GBA/TWL Need~

Well you said not to get too technical!

AGBFIRM = GBA firm (patched file was required to run custom GBA VC injections), now with AuRei/Cakes, this isn't needed anymore. Was needed back when it was the only option.

TWLFIRM was mainly for DSi stuff, but also happens to contain a couple checks for older blacklisted DS carts as well. Older versions were used if perhaps a DS cart you had was blacklisted in higher versions (e.g. old Gateway blue or R4)

Though as I stated above, with the recent release of AuReiNAND (~4.2), the patching is all done on the fly, so you no longer need any of the files you listed. Just the original ones from the FIRM link on her GitHub in the proper locations.

Thanks, ill take a look at that, so the new changes on the CFW, also includes the patch on the fly Whitelist for the Blacklisted cartridges? since there is also DS-WhiteList1.0-0004800F484E4841, so im guessing the new CFW changes actually patch this? if so, dayum, i been out a couple of days on the scene lol.

As far as I know, the TWL patching does this as I was able to use my old GW blue card (blocked in 7.x) on my 10.7 sysNAND.

https://github.com/AuroraWright/AuReiNand/releases

I guess I should qualify that by "on the fly" I mean more of that you put the decrypted firm in the aurei folder, it patches that file, and then loads it into memory. It doesn't really touch the file on NAND at all.
